Enjoyed it. And you just *know* Eldon's going to die in the most gruesomely humorous fashion possible, why else would he be included?! ;)

Cheers Wil.

Er ... not wishing to blow my own trumpet AGAIN, but ahead of the switching on the Large Hadron Collider at 9.30am, I shall be interviewed by BBC Radio Solent. And I'll then be making an appearance on BBC Radio Four's The World Tonight at around 10pm. They, it seems, are more confident than their local colleagues ...

Quote from: "paulvonscott"p.s. on the details page did Alan Moore really say 'End is Night'?

Sssssush! Was hoping no-one would notice the typo - you would not believe how many times during the course of producing the magazine I accidentially typed 'night' ;)

Long time no post ...

But I thought I'd mention that The End is Nigh's website is back online, thanks to Thinky and his amazing web skills!

www.endisnigh.co.uk

You can download a copy of issue two for free, or buy one of the remaining copies of issue three. Plenty of people from on here contributed to both, so get downloading and then spread the word!

Cheers

Match.com went downhill a few years ago. I'd recommend Guardian Soulmates.

I know I'm probably never going to hear the end of this, but ...

I've used internet dating on and off for about seven years. Aside from a smattering of dates it resulted in meeting a lass who's now one of my best mates and another with whom I had a very significant (albeit now long dead) relationship. It *does* work, though perhaps the most recent date (with a half American half Scottish teetotaller) was a mistake. Just give it a go and see what happens.

Not helpful to you, but my favourite speech opener:

"All speeches should be like a woman's dress - long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to make it interesting"
