My quick space maths makes it:

Top of the World, Ma-Ma - 6
Underbelly - 30
Uprise - 50
Dust - 50
Furies - 30
Anderson: The Deep End - 20
Anderson: Judgement Call - 10
The Dead World - 52

for about 250 pages.

If they add in the 12-page Trinity from prog 2262, that leaves room for end pages and titles to bring it to 272?

Looks like IDW Anderson takes over from Year One, then.

Makes sense it would, as it’s written as a sequel to Year One and ties into it nicely.

I haven’t a clue what I’d have called it myself.

I think Dossier is a decent name as it fits the wartime theme well. The only other thing that comes to mind are the repeat references in the Dreddverse that many of MC-1’s files were lost during the Apocalypse War.

Perhaps something like Apocalypse War: The Lost Files or Lost Records might have worked, if the stories were bookended with present-day-Dreddverse chapters featuring an archivist of sorts still working through the backlog, and discovering all these untold stories from old reports as they do so.

In fact, I read a story recently featuring something similar; The Big Lie, Prog 2224, where a cit is sentenced to archival duties to make sense of all the Department’s unsorted missing persons paperwork from Necropolis. Perhaps there’s the start of the next book! ;)

Re: the chapters, certainly wasn’t a problem - For the most part it reminded me of the short Prog chapters in the original story and made for easy reading, going through a couple chapters a night!

Having finished the Dossier, great job JWare it was very much enjoyed!

While one continuous story, I liked that each book had it’s own theme and the series felt overall like a proper trilogy. The new characters are entertaining and carried the story well. The gradual descent into chaos at the start was handled effectively.

Keeping Dredd himself to the background and never directly speaking was a smart move I think, preventing him from stealing the show and inserting himself into something which isn’t his story. It played on his legendary status and added a nice element of mystery to him, that a Judge of his rank and status is both involved and yet somewhat removed from most Judges.

The appearance of McGruder was a nice surprise in the final act, and I enjoyed the subtle hint that her developing madness may have stemmed from her head wound.

Perhaps I felt some of the chapters were overly short in places and could have been combined to aid pacing, particularly towards the end of book one? But overall a nice thumbs up from me! Perhaps we can get another ‘boots in the ground’ series following characters trapped in MC-1 during the Big Nec’?

Lucky those who managed to get hold of them, they’re a fine set. With how much of a pain it’s been trying to source these, (mostly still unfulfilled preorders across the UK it seems, aside from a handful of sold-out stores that obtained imports, unless I’m mistaken) sadly it’s killed much of my enthusiasm and I’ve simply been spending more time than I can really justify on the hunt.

I’m not personally willing to pay the inflated prices on eBay or Amazon nor risk import fees, so I’ve left the Zavvi orders open; they don’t take the money til they’re ready to ship, so there’s nothing to lose really in hoping for the best. If they ever arrive I’ll be delighted, if not then I’ve saved a fair few creds!

Looks great. I find it odd that the line has inconsistencies in packaging between the Klegg, smaller figures and the Dredd v Death twin pack. Not just in box style but graphic design, as though there’s no set vision for the whole range. Having a photo of toy Klegg by the title for example is different to other releases which had comic art.

I’m still not finding any UK retailers with the whole range so far, in stock and for reasonable prices. 99% still show preorders, while others only have one or two toys potentially available. The ones on Amazon aren’t listed by Amazon themselves, and pricing is wildly inconsistent. They also say arrival will be mid-late Jan despite showing in stock. In comparison, Amazon US have almost the whole range listed with some already sold out.

I’m hesitant to order in bulk from overseas due to a) import costs, and b) difficulty in dealing with potential errors/replacements.

All the press releases say Amazon will be stocking the range, seems strange the UK mainland should be so far behind in receiving stock. It’s like being back in the 90s trying to get sneaky imports behind store counters, six months before they properly arrived.

I’ve had emails from Zavvi today saying Fear, Fire, Mortis and Giant are now expected 28/02/23. Those will be cancelled as well then.

In that case, that was quick! “On or before week commencing 12th Dec” was Zavvi’s alleged release date so of course nothing has been dispatched.

Sadly Beyond Toys only appear to have Death, Mortis and Giant available, which means if I cancel my current Zavvi orders I’ll still be currently unable to source Dredd, Fear or Fire.

I’ve had an “order update” on Fear, Fire, Morris and Giant today that simply apologises for them having not been received yet.

I’ll admit I’ve not completely trusted Zavvi since ordering the Arkham Knight special edition from them in 2014. I was surprised to see it listed since I thought it was a Game-exclusive edition, but it was a bit cheaper so I went with Zavvi. Lo, days before release they stated they would not be getting any copies and tried to default my order to the standard edition, at a more expensive price than elsewhere.

I’m convinced they never intended to receive copies and the whole listing was a bait-and-switch hoping I’d just keep my order running. Maybe I’m too suspicious.

And there's me having always thought our pal Morris had a horse skull! Well, TIL indeed.

Zavvi's reply was altogether useless; when asked if they could confirm when they expect to get figures in stock to dispatch, in lieu of them already arriving in stores, the reply pretty much amounted to a verbose 'when they arrive in our warehouse'. Which suggests they haven't a clue.

As for online, I'm still not really seeing anywhere with the figures in stock and ready to go for mainland UK. Does anyone know any sites where they are available to buy now? Depending on the cost elsewhere I might be inclined to cancel some Zavvi preorders.

Dredd, Death, Fire, Fear, Morris and Giant are all in U.K. Shops.

Well in that case, Zavvi gets an email.

Disappointed to hear after preordering the first figures in April and several delays, they’re still out elsewhere before I’ve received them. However, looks like they’re just delayed getting to the UK at all. Aside from a few comparatively expensive eBay listings, it appears all UK-based retailers are still in preorder stage.

Zavvi have given Dec 13 for Dredd/Death and ‘Dec’ for the other DJs and Giant. For the sake of a couple weeks I’ll wait it out and see how they arrive. At least Zavvi seem reasonable in replacing damaged goods.

B&W Fear, Fire and Anderson Lawmaster still seem MIA on the preorder front? Star Action Figures appear to be the only place to order Fire/Cass in the UK while I’ve seen nowhere at all with B&W Fear for order.

What am I missing - what new iteration of Harlem Heroes?

There have been a couple single-part stories included as exclusives in the Regened Vols 3-4 trades. As per the stories Aeroball makes a comeback in the Meg and a new team led by Jem Giant - descendant of John Clay and presumably cousin to Giant Jr. - takes on the championship.

Which ones are already out and where are they available? I see Zavvi’s website is starting to list sold out figures for pre-order again. But despite alleged release for Dredd & Death in a couple days time, I’ve had no word on dispatch.
