Here's the cover for the latest issue of FutureQuake, drawn by  the excellent Steven Austin, coloured by me. (Available from the FutureQuake shop!)  ;)

Nice I like how you used the shades of green and complimentary colours with it

If you fancy a challenge befriend Liam Sharp on facebook. He had just posted the inks for a recent hulk drawing he did and offered it for people to color themselves.

Interesting... I'd managed to miss this before. PJ shows you how he flats an image using MangaStudio 5.

(MS seems to be gaining some traction as a flatting tool — I know that Matt Brooker and Pete Doherty both use it for flatting as well...)

Cheers

It's a joke. I was joking.

A modern colouring job of a legendary artist's B/W work often looks very wrong.  But you've nailed it spectacularly.  Love it.

Tried a bit of colouring practice on a couple of legendary Slaine images.  Glenn Fabry and of course Mike McMahon. Purposely did these both with only 3 colours to practice for a future project.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the average colourist's page rates?

Darren Stephens

Cracking work guys. Here's a Richard Elson pic from his Marvel strip, Revolutionary War. Mr Elson was kind enough to allow me to play about with some colours over his awesome lines, just for fun.  :)
