Hi all,

I'm currently making room in my apartment due to offspring displacing my stuff and wanted to put some art books on here for sale. Prices are without P&P as I've no idea how much that'll be but we can work it out.

I'm open to offers also I'd rather get the books into someones hands who gets value from them rather than disposing of them.

I'll likely add more stuff when I have time to go through it.

Hi all I'm on the market for a new scanner for scanning obviously. I want to know from people what models are good for scanning inked art. I have an ancient HP flatbed scanner. It does a bad job of B&W bitmap scans. It'll pick up even the lightest grey as black.

I want one that'll do my work a little justice it's bad enough as it is without a scanner killing it more.

I was looking at a Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F. Which is about £100. Unless there is a major quality issue I'm trying to avoid spending more. That's the budget.

Thanks in advance.

Creative Common / 3d Dredd bust
16 June, 2010, 10:24:40 PM
Hi all, I'm still doodling away but this week I have been overcome with the urge to do a 3d Dredd model. Here is the 1st 5 hours of work. I'm still blocking it out and deciding what elements to incorporate from the many great Dredd styles that exist. Is the helmet tapered ? Do I do a curved back badge or flat vertical ? Is Dredd's chin realistic or stylized ? It goes on and on.

Either way I'll post the progress here.

Welcome to the board / Hi all old ( new ) member
12 April, 2009, 07:10:28 PM
Hi all,my names Anthony (25)  I had a username before years ago but forgot it so I ve a new one. I m a long time browser on the forums so have decided to get involved.  I have been getting 2000ad since the mid nineties. I work in the games industry ( partly 2000ads fault ). I m currently living in the north west, UK. My fav strips are Dredd, Nikolai Dante, Slaine, Rogue Trooper and Sinister Dexter. Of course there are many one offs and shorter running characters/ stories that sit fondly in the depths of the thrill circuits.

Tv that I like consists of Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Two and a half men. My gamertag on PSN and LIVE is nathdevlin in case anyone here is an avid gamer and wishes to test my mediocre skills. You d think I d be good spending all day with a PS3 but surprisingly I m not
