Ahem...final page count on MQ to be confirmed...clearly!!!
Zarjaz!
Who's in Futurequake, apart from the big names? Anyone from this board?
Yes..quite a few...I'll list some of them later...
I'm not. Didn't make the grade this time. THAT is how good the art is.
Bolt-01
And I had to get them to start an all new title to try and get a script drawn!
Jesus, way to kill the publicity, Rich!
Well, in FQ #5 you see strips the likes of:
-Dial H for Huitzipocholi by Al Ewing and Mike Molchester
-Domestic Bliss by Arthur Wyatt and Simon Penter
-Underground Workers by Martin Gooch and Vicky Stonebridge
And probably some other stuff too - what do I look like, Marvo the Memory Man?
I thought Harry Harrison was dead. Tsch.
No, don't worry...we're not 'channeling' him like the guy on X-Factor with John Lennon on his cassette player...
Less Lennon, more sellin'!
Harry ain't dead!
And if you don't believe me, then have a quick jaunt over to Dublin on the 15-16th October
Oh, and buy Futurequake and Mangaquake! They're blimmin great.

Am I in FutureQuake?
I'm afraid not!
You're pending...
My stuff's gonna be in there.
...isn't it?
Pending...? Oh, the injustice. My voice will not be silenced by your New LabourSpeak euphamism for rejection.
"NONSENSE!"
;-)
I was pending on issue 4. It still hurts.
Try ringing the Pending helpine, if you need to talk to someone about it. They advised me to buy a reet big gun, and low and behold, I'm in Issue 5...
...I hope.
ha ha ha
hee hee hee
i'm going to brighton
i'm in future quacky
i'm going on a helicopter next weekend
tra la la
I'll save my pending rejections for other areas in life.
did i mention helicopters?
New Futurequake... new danger..!
I'm happy to say that paul and James are no longer pending, but their strip will appear in all its considerable glory in issue 5!
And i'll have another ready by monday.
Huzzah!
James, that is good news indeed!

Reviews news:
Christine Harper's Fragments is reviewed in the October issue of Comics International.
So is Rapid Fire issue 4, from Underfire Comics. If you haven't seen it, and you like small press stuff, especially Zarjaz, you should probably buy it.
I have been notified that the deadline for reviews submissions for the November issue of Comics International (#190) has been extended to 14th October. That allows me to get in reviews of Rumble #1, Rapid Fire #5 and Action Stations in time to coincide with the Brighton Comic Expo.
Also, there is going to be a special Expo edition of Comics International, with a different kind of reviews section of its own aimed at pointing newcomers in the right direction. Sounds like an awesome responsibility, which I will do my level best to totally abuse*.
*(no, not really...)
Abuse away HoU - what's the point of poewr without a lack of resposibility?
Great news that the Action Stations review will make it in time - I should probably point out that all those letters are genuine!
We'll also have a convention version of the book available, which will have a colour cover and about three extra strips in it.
I've also had a strip 'pending' for FutureQuake for almost a year now, and which still hasn't got an artist and will probably end up in #7 (and I'm one of the bloody editors)!
Yeah, I meant to ask about that one. Or that one. Or one of the other two.
One day futurequake will print one of your stories. And then the world will end.
So the End of the World coincides with #5?
Damn, Molcher was right!
Hmm..I should ask if Im pending but I dont know if I dare.
Any artist found for the script that was put together?
Someone understand me.
I'm not sure that's in any way humanly possible.
I ask to placated..
All I get is sarcasm.
peesh!
I ask to be placated..
All I get is sarcasm.
peesh!
So annoyed he posted it twice...
No placations for you, young man!
Why aren't the photobucket pictures showing anymore - or is it just me that can't see 'em?
they show for me odds...09:17 GMT...
Let me know if they're not back for you odds...
And Carls...soon.....
Still no... they were fine the other day.
Maybe it's some strange band-width thingummy... what with photobucket being so popular nowadays.
hmmm...can anyone else not see them...it's the bloody Emperor's New Clothes all over again...
I can see them
Cool...
Brighton is now fast approaching...so, who's going to be there?
Fat Boy Slim?
No show at Brighton, but apparently (i may be labouring under the wrong impression here) a place in Futurequake#5.
My dream lives on.
Ps a copy of the convention booklet to be handed over at a future Brum-con would be welcome, Bolt. :)
"apparently (i may be labouring under the wrong impression here) a place in Futurequake#5"
Which strip?
Erm. Forgotten it's name.
Spoilerish:
In the beginning an average guy, driving on a isolated snowy road, gets abducted by aliens
Oh, that's, erm...buggeration...Fortunate Son, right?
So are you 'Mr. Nimmo', then?
Yes.
21ish.
Cancerian.
Loves: Moonlight walks, romantic dinners and special-bait shark fishing.
Well, I wasn't asking you out (Cancer just isn't compatible)...though I do find it disturbing that you have a female icon...
21?! You don't deserve to live...
So...'The Daring Astromen of Jupiter'...?
Damn! thought i was in there.
21 about(muffled cough) years ago.
Oh is that yours? Working on it at the mo and planning on delivering it digitally on Monday (on CD by Wednesday :)
I'd admit to it being mine, but it's rubbish, so I won't. To be fair, I wrote it in an hour at work, so at least it was quick.
Glad to hear that it's going to be done on time - Dave said that it wasn't going to get finished, the lying sod!
Really looking forward to this one actually, as the art on Fortunate Son is bloody gorgeous.
"Damn! thought i was in there."
Who says you're not, sugar...?
Virgo, you're such a flirt !
Don't be jealous now, sweatie...
(Why in God's name am I flirting with men? I was never confused..!)
You were *always* confused.
Only since I met you, my little sugared love-dumpling of ecstatic unbridled joy and loveliness...
Tulkas. I'll get you a copy of the booklet for the soon to be arranged Brum Con!
Bolt-01: looking forward to Astromen, as I too quite liked that.
I look forward to Astromen too.
Now where's that script...
"as I too quite liked that."
That's right, Dave - no need to shower us in praise.
It would only go to your head...
Bolt-01
At least it'd be getting somewhere...
Don't mind me, I'm just going out on the windowsill for a while.
Turns out I'm going to Brighton afterall so I don't mind helping the cause of pimping MQ.
I intend to use my own unique sales pitch of chinning sarcy nay sayers and inserting the glorious comic up their bottom until they decide to buy 3 copies and a subscription.
Finn *who isn't taking BS from fat fan boys this time round*
Hey! I'm not a fan boy!
Bolt-01
well nor am i !
nor fat, who called me fat ? i'll chin the feckers.
i'm going paddling & building sandcastles, and if anyone trys to shove a comic up my bottom, i shall bury them up to their necks in said sand castle & feed them to the donkeys.*
* if no sand or donkeys are available, please substitute rocks & seagulls.
Max: Will that include your spectacular hot monkey love story from Dreddcon? I still want to draw that.
Finn
Well, I did'nt actually mean you lot... Hell you lot are the people we have as a shinig example of not being fat faboys.
I'm talking the anal retentive types, obssessive people, dodgy costume wearers, scojo etc... You know the type. Got no patience for those types, spoils a great convention.
Finn
yes, it's on story drawn again and agian by as many artists as possible!!
Heh, sorry Smurf, just going for the obvious joke.
I quite like the costume wearers, they make me feel less geeky (Vape 'em VC!)
Bolt-01
And i'll have the scripts for monkey quake ready!!
Jesus, why did I agree to that...?!
If anyone wants me, I'm going for a walk in the ocean...
Max: Sign me up! I'm well up for drawing easily arroused mokeys.
Byron: Same reason you did IMAF? To at least dress sharper tham the rest of us?
MonkeyQuake: Not on my watch.
Bolt-01
If you don't want it tied to the Quake line we could change the name to Monkey School
Not on my watch.
how about on your clock?
and I'm pretty sure you can't call it monkey wind, or solar monkey,or change it to three panel format and call it lost monkey or monkey property either
MonkeyCock!
No, it's true.
