Has anyone seen this?

I've not read a great deal of Star Trek comics but my impression is that they vary wildly in quality. Issue 1 is Countdown, which I've read and quite enjoyed, issue 2 is The City on the Edge of Forever - based on the original version of the screenplay. That may be worth picking up on its own. After that I'm not sure. I'm quite curious about the Gold Key and early Marvel stuff and also the very odd looking John Byrne photo-stories.

I think that the John Byrne photo-stories are only available if you pay a extra pound an issue

I might look out for this at the newsagents. Which company commissioned these Marvel, DC? Did Lobo or the X-Men ever team up with the TNGeers or TOS?

There are stories from various companies in this collection - Gold Key, Marvel, IDW and some old British material too.
I'm not sure about comics but there was definitely a TNG/X-Men crossover novel.

Didn't our own Dan Abnett do a run on Star Trek or did I imagine that?

I already have "City on the edge....." and if it's the same version the art-work is gorgeous.

It is the same version and the artwork is gorgeous. Nice commentary afterwards but the thing that's going to keep me buying the series is the inclusion in each issue of a Gold Key issue from the sixties. I bought the first 6 issues through IDW's hardback collection and intended to keep on buying them but this collection negates the need to.
This is a good collection which I now have on regular order.
