Ah well. I like me, that's the main thing. That said, I'm drunk  :)

Fair enough. I personally feel short-changed when there's less than five, though I do miss Sooner or Later (and even Shaky's Beyond Belief).  Those Alien Invasion Henry Flint one-pagers were great though, pity they were confined to the big Christmas prog.
All in all though, I don't know what Tharg would have done without Matt Smith, long may he co-edit

"This is for refusing to attend the H-Ex comic expo in Inverness on March 31 and April 1 2012!"

Snappy one, that.

I really hope it works out for you, Judo - if nothing comes of the Future Shock, the caption contest is a bleeding great idea, you've been a hugely successful contribution to the board at least already!

As for finding an artist for unpublished work... Hmmm, not easy. I do a bit of illustration and the like* and I remember going to writers' clubs years ago and people 'bagsing' my time and effort without actually checking with me whether I felt like working for free.  I ended up doing about one or two jobs and really wishing I hadn't, and vowed never to do another unpaid (or at least unpublished) commission again in my life.

*My efforts at comic illustration were fucking shite though, as Richmond Clements found when I didn't deliver something he asked me to do.  Yep, I still feel bad about it, and someday His Lordship will slay me as I sleep.  The previous paragraph does not apply to Rich's commission, he would have published the bastard and I would have loved it, but as I say, I can't draw comics.

Do some more and send it in, mate.

Unless I've completely missed the point and you actually are Len O'Grady, in which case you know my friend Richard.

Very nice!  I can see why he likes it, it complements his style very smoothly.  Have you ever submitted any colouring work to Tharg?
Wish I could colour my own stuff on Photoshop, unfortunately I haven't a bull's notion how to do it (even the dude who coloured America Part 2 would do a better job than me).

Very cool!  Is that inspired by that Devil / Angel Gang story from years back?  (That's my wank-bank stocked for the evening; you can't beat a seventy-year-old man's bare buttocks.)

And, unlike Mr Stress before you, you've managed to avoid positioning an electric sander dangerously close to his bare balls!  ;)

Ooh, nice, Johnny.  Sort of Michelangelo meets John Hicklentine.

Great Alpha there too, Jon.

Just saw a Thai bloke in Bangkok wearing a Joy Division t-shirt, with exactly the same Ian Curtis pose on it as the one My Grimm Brother drew.  There's no escape!

I watched a documentary once with Nicholas Lyndhurst living with a troop of chimpanzees.  One of them had a bad limp - another one walked behind it in a similarly spazzy (if you'll excuse the term) fashion, looking occasionally at its mates for approval. So yeah, I'm pretty sure at least some of them do, anyway

Sorry as I was not know about Bill Hicks, or not hear him, (bit trick as youtube not got subtitles to see what he says)

But I found about him in Preacher graphic books.

I was just thinking about that - never been a fan either of Garth Ennis's tendency towards the whole 2 MEN + SHARED LIKE OF PARTICULAR ASPECT OF POP CULTURE = BONDING thing.  Still like his stuff all the same

I'm feeling a bit guilty about the delay, so I thought I'd give you a little present based on the simply stunning cover image created by Colin MacNeil as a thank you for putting up with all these delays.

First off - Don't feel guilty. If not for you (your enthusiasm and drive) this project would not exist. If not for you and your commitment, I, and many others who have contributed to this special project, would not now be grinning like Cheshire cats at Colins wonderful cover art. I've always thought that when it's done, it's done. And not a moment before.... So no rush. I'm proud to have been part of this tribute and if we should we ever meet, I owe you a beer (or two)

Secondly - Colins cover.... Wow! Thanks Mr Shark.

Stew. :D

Couldn't have put it better.  Never feel guilty, sir, in my book at least you are this board's finest member. (Fnarr)

Really? Probably one of his most well-known bits, that and the crucifix/rifle thing...

I quite like Bill Hicks, just wish I found him funny.

Oddly enough, I agree totally.  A very interesting and charismatic guy, no doubt about it, and I would hope his intelligent anti-establishment message has made a profound impact.  But funny? Not to me, I'm afraid. Anyway, massive tangent - looking forward to the Dredd film, me

Slaine (pronounced "Ee-an")

Is that right? Cool, im an Ee-an (Iain) as well.
Never could be arsed to read Slaine, might give it a go now....

Almost, but not quite - it's pronounced 'Bry-en'.

(And 'Mac Roth' is pronounced 'Wolsh')
