An absolutely unmissable documentary, chock full of fascinating anecdotes and opinion-Neil Gaiman recounting Alan Moore's ideas for continuing Halo Jones' adventures and the thought of what could of been brought a tear to the eye.
Sadly, according to Leah Moore in the doc, even she can't persuade her dad write further books so we'll have to accept the sad reality.

Great to meet up with fellow squax, albeit briefly due to transport issues, and surprise guest Alex Garland was a real gent and happy to have a chat with fans!

Some truly laugh out loud moments strewn through a very informative doc and as Steve says, the animation at the start was really enjoyable!

I recommend you all go see this, like now!

I sat next to the lady who did the animation and her friends. I agree that they did an excellent job. The opening titles were awesome.

Loved it; everything a 2000AD fan could ask for really. It manages to cover new ground even for a nerd like me who has absorbed every line of Thrill Power Overload, and listened to countless interviews with Pat Mills, (the recent-ish one with Stacey Whittle was especially good).

As it hinted at above, there's a pretty lengthy portion of the doc given over to Pat, David Bishop and Andy Diggle expressing their competing views of the late 1990s at 2000AD - and really, it's one of the only points of conflict within the comic's history that the filmmakers were able to get both sides of, so it makes sense to feature it heavily.

A lot of the film focusses on Mills and Kevin O'Neill's memories of the early days working under IPC - I guess most of them are dead by now but I'd kind of love to have heard the suits from that company reacting to the long-term survival of the comic they profited from but clearly hated with a passion.

There's also a chunk of respect rightly given to O'Neill for changing the face of British comics by sneaking that first Credit Card into an early prog, thus ensuring that we readers finally got to find out who as writing and drawing everything!

Another tip of the hat also to the team that put together the animations - a cinematic delight.

Loved the documentary (and also seeing so many Forum folks without the chaotic surroundings of a comic con around us). Wished the showing was about three hours earlier so we have all caught up more...

The film was great - it was in danger of being a bit of a "isn't 2000AD great?" fest, but the Dark Ages section, and some earlier Kevin O'Neill anger about royalties made it feel more of a balanced appraisal. Some wonderful anecdotes (Trevor Hairsine's fax machine!); some pointed barbs; and real insight into the creative culture / counter-culture of the late '70s and the corporate frustrations of the '90s.

If you get a chance, absolutely go see it.
