Keef Monkey

This is going to be almost as tough as the movie picks! In no order, and on the platforms I played them on:

Max Payne (Xbox)
GTA4 (360)
Condemned (360)
Monkey Island (Amiga)
Resident Evil 2 (PS1)
Mass Effect (360)
Rogue Trooper (PS2)
Robocop (Amiga)
Supercars 2 (Amiga)
Doom (PC)

And to justify the choices (to myself really):
There's loads of recent stuff I want to put in, but a couple aside I thought I'd stick with the golden oldies. Not totally sure if Mass Effect should be in there. It was very flawed but being an RPG noob and being launched into a sci-fi epic was terribly exciting for me. Guess time will tell whats classic and whats not. Rogue Troopers not a token toothie inclusion, I genuinely loved that game for doing a great job of the comic to game thing, just having the edge over The Darkness and The Punisher which were both great too.

Wait, you're saying that Elite is inferior to the best game evah and three dashes?
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!

Erm ... yes, that is -- apparently -- exactly what I'm saying.

Damn you, and your cold Vulcan logic!

Mortal Kombat 2 was way better though.  8-)

Everybody loves 'ELITE'

Not that I disagree, it was one of the best games in it's day.

I should also add.

Any of those old Strategic Simulation Dungeons and Dragons Gamesf or the Commodore 64. Anything like 'Pool Of Radience', 'Gateway to the Savage Frontier'.'The seven Silver Blades' and the scif 'Buck Rogers: CountDown Till Doom's Day'

'The Bard's Tale' series, inclduing the most recent Playstation Two version which was very much different from it's
predessors.

Most of the famous fantacy RTS games before a awful lot of them were being made.

Warcraft,

BattleRealms,

WarBreeds,

As a after though, Warhammer's 40k 'Dawn of War'

Second Person Perspaective Fantacy's.

Heretic Two

A demo for 'POSTAL'. It's rather sickening I might add. I spent hours playing the multiplayer level against a computer rendered gary Coleman and a hillbilly.

On that note I should add ' Reneck Rampage' as well.

Nethack, It's free download and each time you play the game is different. The Keyboard style graphics allowed my imgination to run wild.

There are morte to mentin, but I think I've gone over the limit already.

ThryllSeekyr

There's the free download for 'Klass of 99'.....

//http://www.acid-play.com/download/klass-of-99/

..... it sounded interesting after reading about 'Skool Daze' & 'Back to Skool' and seeing a video play  through of these on You-tube.

They do remind me of simplier versions of 'Canis Canem Edit.' AkA 'Bully for the playstation two.

Another great game.

About school life, it gets very immercive.

Both games have plenty of similar things and it's no surpise really.

Yet, the later game takes everything to deeper level.

Kinda lumping them all in together there...

ThryllSeekyr

I had a go at Freelancer once when it was on display in one of those computer warehouse stores.

Not a bad game, but it did remind more of one of 'Wing Commander' spin off's.

Which I forget the name of for now.

Not that I have ever sample Wing-Commander' myself. I 'm alittle turned off by the amount of cut scnes that seem to dominate that game.

Anywa..............

Regarding those old Spectrum, Amstrad, Commodore games.

I found one called "The House of Usher"

//http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http%3A//www.lemon64.com/reviews/view.php%3Fid%3D660

Wondering,  if the resident House of Usher on this forum was thus inspired whilst choosing his screen name.

Though I don't mention this comparison,

I just noticed the name on game listing and had to find out more.

Silly question..... I guess as it appears to have only one meaning.

Actaulley, that name has fascinated me and I was promted to find out more about it in the wiki.
