Curiously Gene Hackman can't stand anything with Gene Hackman in. ;)

The counter seems to have added one, somehow, making this post 1003 - fact!

Quote from: "Pete Wells"Just wanted to say Kevlev, I was looking at your blog t'other day really like your work. I'd be more than happy to see that in my prog.

Quote from: "Bolt-01"Well Pete, that comment made me take a look at Kev's blog, and I think the artwork is top notch. Small press ahoy!

Thank you kindly. Nice to receive such fine comments from learned gentlemen such as yourselves.

Every saturday morning I see you subscription guys reviewing the prog and I have to admit, I'm jealous. As soon as my house sale/move/turmoil is done... that's what I'm gonna be getting myself - a nice shiny subscription, for my birthday perhaps? Please? Looking forward to picking this one up on Tuesday!

QuoteLooks more like LOBO
fair enough...

QuoteI was thinking it looked more like a member of the group Kiss.
They wish!

I guess it must just be nostalgia on my part - was I the only person that bought it then?

I was on a mission in London to find some issues late last year -

Gosh! (near the British Museum) only has a selection of the most recent issues and one or two from the last couple of years down-stairs - although they were very helpful.

Just round the corner from Gosh!, on Shaftesbury Ave, towards the Forbidden Planet is a little shop called Comicana and they had some back issues, but I've a feeling they were all post 300 - worth checking out, though, as it was a largish rack.

Orbital didn't have any back issues, only current ones and a couple of Extreme editions.

There is a books and comics exchange in Berwick Street that had a few bits and pieces also - but nothing approaching what could be called back issues - you might get lucky though.
Apparently the larger Exchange in Notting Hill sells bags of 10 when they have them - but that's a check before you go kind of thing unless you're nearby.

I think you can see what Mega City have available on their website but again, you might get lucky.

I'm coming to the conclusion that, sadly, ebay is the only places that really seems to have 2000AD back issues!

I thought it would be interesting to keep an eye on the circulation, to see if there's an upward trend as people look for less expensive ways to treat themselves.

I've got both 2000AD and the Meg being held for me via my local co-op shop and around the middle of last year I know they were only carrying 2 copies of 2000AD on shelf and I think holding one issue - they are now holding my issues - two other copies of 2000AD and have three on shelf - the shop is only a tiny corner shop... maybe this is a geographical anomaly - or maybe, let's hope, it's a sign of things to come.

When I looked in my wallet today, I saw the future - it was cold, empty and things looked pretty bleak.

Other Reviews / RE:ACTION vs. LEGENDARY - opinions...
22 January, 2009, 10:51:09 PM
Browsing ebay threw up auctions for the two Dredd figurines out there...

Re:action version and the newer Legendary one. Does anyone own one or both of these? I wondered what people thought of them from a comparison point of view. I remember being impressed with the detail on the old Re:action ones - the Johnny Alpha was awesome (I actually regret not buying Dredd and Alpha but that's a different issue).

(is this in the right forum, or should it be in general chat?)
