Nice work... my only comment would be to put a floor/base/ground for the two characters to sit on... i think that will help frame the illustration and give greater impact to the nice background.

A bit of shadow underneath them might be enough.

Thanks guys. over the past month I've been studying Bridgman for an hour every day. I just finished the book of a hundred hands now I'm into constructive anatomy. I did this one to test what I'd been learning. Thanks for the kind comments.
