Far Cry 3

So, if I manually save after getting my pig skin for the syringe holster upgrade and then die before any missions autosave me up, I still keep my recent pighide syringe holster? Because the game certainly doesn't auto-save this. Far Cry 3 players?

I'm so close to getting the platinum for this I can taste it lol. Only two story related trophies and the Fully Inked (get all the upgrades) trophie left. I only need one upgrade which I should get the needed EXP for from the last few missions then I just need to finish the game.
Did anybody else get the platinum? (or the 360 equivelant)?
