....if you really love the DREDD film. Now that it is starting to gather momentum say what you think about here and don't think you need to restrict yourselves over the subject of box office numbers and such like...tell it how it is. How much do we love this film?

I've seen it 7 times so far and may have one more chance later this week. I reckon I'd go another half a dozen times at the big screen given the chance.

The release date for this book has been put back another month, again, and won't be out untill June now , according to Amazon. I had originally been expecting this in March. Oh well, third time lucky.

...because I've noticed such a difference of opinion over strips, from: "it's really cool", to: "it's really crap".

So I would like to know what you members of this forum would consider to be the ultimate comic strip. Which one is it that you think is the best due to artwork, story, and presentation. Which one makes you think "this is what comic strips are about, this is what comic strips should be doing."?

In short, which one is it that makes you think all the others' are only inaccurate approximations of your ideal/ultimate comic strip?

Off Topic / Is 2000ad addictive?
09 February, 2012, 11:27:23 AM
I think I may be addicted to 2000ad. I spend too much time and money with it, what with the all comics, back issues, books film and the internet, I think I have an addiction. So. Is it addictive or a compulsion for you? I don't know. I get irritable without it.

Off Topic / 2000ad or...

I liked going up the pub most evenings, but have had to cut down on going out due to expense.
A friend of mine has cancelled his season ticket at his favourite football club and another his Skymovies account.

None of us have considered cancelling our 2000ad subscriptions at the newsagent. What would luxury you sacrifice before you gave up 2000ad?

Film & TV / Yodaphones

Or vodaphones as they are now:

"Suprised I am Steven Spielberg's E.T. for this advert to choose they did not. Speak clearer than Yoda does he -
E.T. home phone Elliot,"  With friends in touch to stay, good it is"

Is this why George has packed it in as far as Star Wars is concerned?

General / A Stupid Question.

Why 2000ad?

It's now 2012. I KNOW the new millenium was regarded as downright apocalyptical for 2000ad's reading public. But it came and went and the name remained. Good old 2000ad!!

I remember 1995's release of the dreaded DREDD film was seen as a sign of the demise of the galaxy's greatest comic 'cos Judge Dredd removes his helmet. Whatever next after this kind of heresy? 3000ad?

It didn't come to pass....
