There's an archive of ZX Spectrum magazines somewhere, and one of the earliest spoof articles I spotted in one of them - from like 1982 or something - was for fake movie/game tie-ins.

So anyway, that's how old and lame this joke is, so if nothing else we must respect an author for wringing an entire book out of it in the year 2017.

Spoofing is nothing new, but done well it's always entertaining.

This book is spoofing done well.
