Hello, fellows
I've been away for a little while( not that I were that active anyway). The reason is that I'm working on my graphic novel called The Hans, and the work process is fairly slow, which means working five days in order to turn in a page a week AND with no money in it for now.
There's a FB page up and running in case you good people want to know more ( I plan to get weekly updates with making of and little teasers for all tastes).
A preview

Looks awesome Bruno. ;)
Thanks,sir :D
The parasite laddies are a brilliant piece of design - nice work creating new and disturbing monster in a fairly crowded niche.
Sweet painting and great monsters! Not quite the same but my kids are were watching Hero Factory Brain Attack the other day. Your monsters reminded me, though yours are so much more sinister and gruesome! ;)

Really appreciate the feedback, Professor. I wasn't sure about the design, I found them a bit clumsy at first. That's ok thou...they will get even creepier as the story progress

Tombonin, curious you said that. In fact, there's a deliberate use of childhood imaginary on those creatures' design :)
Nothing like your childhood to come back and haunt you. :o
And not forgetting Hellmutt, the dog.

very cool, i like the colour, keeps it cohesive, nice work
Thanks, sir. I'm trying to use colour as a storytelling tool here, so I'm keeping it tight.
Menschmaschine, what the other squaxx said. Those are pretty disturbing monsters. Like the dog btw. Z
Thanks, Zen, really appreciate the input of you all on the creatures.
As usual, another bit of the upcoming mayhem

Nearly every apocalyptic story contains an arsehole of a character who puts everyone's lives in danger. Can you spot who's the arsehole in The Hans?
(hint: it's someone inclined to hide out in a pub's basement under this kind of situation)

Great work!
Yep this is out there stuff. Love it. Z
Some nice art MM, good luck with this.
I can't tell who the arsehole is because there are no speech bubbles.

Looks like Farage to me. Could be some
other arsehole, of course.....!
Cheers, fellows...well, it's Farage's poorest cousin, Nick Faraday. The arseholery has been in the family business for centuries ;)
I must point out though, that I was working with such a buffoon of a character before 2000AD announcing his upcoming role in Dredd's universe. It's just a natural coincidence, being Farage such an active player in todays politics and a ready-to-use, walking satire. I'm not ripping them off :)
The Hans #1 cover is finally here :)

Great stuff MM. You have delivered an intriguing piece here. Z
Thanks, ZenArcade :)
Sweet cover, man! I really dig the purple shadow on the hammer, really nice character and juxtaposition of colour.
Cheers, tombonin :)...funny you mention the colours. I did four versions of this cover in order to get the right feeling.
And I reckon you nailed it. Colours are definitely tough. And wow... 4 trials. That's a lot of work.

Some days are a real nightmare to get anything done.
Here's a little trailer for the series. Hope you fellows will enjoy it.

looks fantastic -cover and interiors all.
That covers great. I'd definitely pick it up for a look in the comic ship, that's for sure.
The Dark Judges as busts.100 Euros a piece though.

Very stricking, would definetly pick it up if I saw it at my LCS.
Thanks, guys...your feedback is of great importance to me, mostly coming from a readership that I respect and am part of. This is a one-man-army book and I could easily lose the objectivity after a while working on it. Also, as a first time supervising all the steps of editing a comic book, I can attest how painfully laborious a task it's. I can't even imagine how to pull it off in a weekly bases. Kudos to Tharg and his droids. Certainly something to be sung in the halls of Valhalla.
The lettering is on its final stages, all superbly done by Nikki Foxrobot.
Soon...very soon...

Blimey - this whole project is looking awfully exciting. You're like a modern day Richard Corben.
Thanks, Greg, I couldn't be more flattered but, Corben is beyond comparison. He's up there with the art gods.
I've been studying his works for years and will probably spend my lifetime doing it without fully understand "how can that be?".
And here's the back cover.
The two fellows quoted below, are not only legends but also decent human beings. Seriously, I can't thank them enough.
Anyways, the book will be on sale next week. I'm not really sure what conventions I'll be doing this year. I've tried Thought Bubble but I didn't make the cut, so the official launching will possibly be at MCM London.

Yeah, but what do they know? ;)
Nah, seriously, that's one helluva pair of recommendations!
Crikey mensch, you'd better take care that the mighty Mills Droid doesn't have you working on Amercan Reaper....then we'd all have to hate you. Z
Surely Reaper would then be half way to being a classic? ;P
Bleeding hell, Richard Corben?! THE Richard bloody Corben?! Their is NO higher praise than the master that gave us Rat God. Bruno, reserve me a copy of your comic, good sir, I'm rightly intrigued.
Surely Reaper isn't what Mr. Mills got in mind;)
I had a bad experience in the past meeting one of my artistic heroes ( actually, a Jekyll and Hyde sort of experience) so I was really afraid of approaching another bunch of my heroes. Turns out Mr. Corben and Mr. Mills were true gentlemen and very supportive.
Hawkmonger, sure thing, sir:)
After a long, long journey, I can happily announce that The Hans is officially on sale. Head over to the Comicsy online store and order your copy or download the digital version.
Thanks for your support all along, fellows...really means a lot:)

Well spotted, Sheridan! Whitby was used as reference; I had just one establishing shot so I went with a "best of" of Whitby.

A great review by Chris McAuley from Talking Comics. It does give a more in-depth explanation on the book's themes that goes beyond its visual aspects
