John H has drawn some magnificent Dredds over the years. I can't imagine anyone creating the atmosphere of The Dead Man quite like John R, plus there's Luke Kirby, Twister, Dice Man...

Has to be a tie on this one for me.

Two great Slaine artists, but taking their work apart from that, Glenn's detail on Dredd and the Batman crossover is amazing, and Clint did some beautiful wide-screen work on ABC.

Carl has done some great work via some different styles on Nemesis, Flesh and Dredd. Simon gave us Dante.

Colin's work leaves me a bit cold, even though its precision is amazing. Tiernan has been brilliant on Absalom, Fiends and Ratfink.

I like Andy's work on Shimura, Dredd and the Downlode duo. Dan has done some great work too, his Judge Fear one-off sticking in my mind.

Simon's gritty lines have suited much in the worlds of Dredd and Rogue. Tooth would be a poorer place without the vibrancy of Ernest and Waldo.

Bryan's work on Nemesis is hugely memorable. Nick is doing fantastically horrific work on the Dark Judges at present. These aren't getting any easier, this is another one where I'd like to give 2.5 each.

Jake has created some hugely iconic Dredd images. But what a body of work from Mick to be up against - Uncle Ump, Block Mania, Sky Chariots, Howler...

I think Jesus is often the undersung Nemesis artist, with such great work on Book 2. Also Return to Armageddon and so many Future Shocks. And Dave's given us Big Robots.

Armoured Gideon's total run would put it at the heftier end of the scale for one volume, but I'd love to see it collected in hardcover. Come on Tharg, you know it makes sense.

Chris has delivered incredibly detailed work for so long, it's always a pleasure to see.

John was completely out there, so many memorable pages, and arguably was a better fit for Heavy Metal Dredd than Bisley.

Simon shone brightly for his tenure in the GGC, but Colin has delivered so much consistently over the years it seems churlish not to recognise that.

Colin MacNeil 4, Simon Bisley 1.

Just to add my recommendation - Kev's your man for this stuff - but be quick...

Argh dammit. Two magnificent talents. This could be reversed tomorrow, but today it's:
