Tintin fans like myself will be interested to know that the animated verion of Tintin In Tibet, probably Herge's most touching book (no boy scout jokes please) is on BBC4 at 8:00 tonight - of course I'm trusting it will be the excellent recent animated version rather than the tacky Belvision serial. The show is followed by the documentary Tintin and me (and some more sci-fi stuff after), if you miss it it's bound to be repeated soon. If you never read Tintin this should be a good introduction.

There's also a series on about boys' adventure books which I noticed features Tintin in the trailer.

Just wanted to draw your collective attention to to this-

Rufus provides art for F. Paul Wilson's Faces.

And very fine it is too.

What's more it's printed on this killer old school stock that really sets it off.

Obviously you're not a golfer.

That was probably the best comics documentary I've seen.  Outstanding, and amazingly unpatronising.  Has given me a whole new appreciation of my childhod favourite Tintin.

Floyd-the-k

by the way, did anyone here ever read that Tintin novel that came out about twelve years ago? If so, how was it?

Adrian Bamforth

I noticed a while ago someone's put the whole documentary on Youtube for those who missed it.

On the subject of 'Tin-Tin'. Was't Steven Spielberg about to do a feature film. Last I heard, it may have been cancelled.

Adrian Bamforth

I love Spielberg but I hope he doesn't, you can't take Herge out of the equation.
