There's a whole website devoted to those Hostess Fruit Pie adverts on-line somewhere.

My favourite is the one about the great untold Spider-Man villian, the Chair-Man, who has a special magical gun that... turns people into chairs. Almost worthy of Stan Lee himself!

Oh yeah! I remember those twinkie adverts! Wasn't there other strips about twinkines from Green Lantern, Superman etc?
I remember when I was a kid, I always wanted a twinkie but unfortunately, they were not for sale in the UK. So when I went over to the States about seven years ago, first thing I did was buy some twinkies. I though 'hmmm, I've tasted these spongey creamey things before'. There's an alternative to twinkies in the UK but I don't know what they're called...
