Yep -- It's been way too long since we last saw you, PJ!

[...]Hibernia will be there!
Yay! Really looking forward to catching up with you, David!

Under the current state of democracy, I declare PROTEUS VEX the winner…*cough*

I concur the independent commission has counted and validated all "legal" votes

Exactly. It's obvious to anyone who believes it that all right-thinking individuals would only vote for Proteus Vex, therefore anyone who didn't was misguided and their votes should be discarded.

I'm abstaining, of course, but if I hadn't written Proteus Vex I'd probably have voted for Kingdom myself. It's one of my favourite comic-strips of all time. There's no shame in losing to something so good!

...
but the fact after 127 other tie, over 5 months this very final one of Round 2 still managed to draw more votes than any other tie.
...

Well, this sentence confused the heck out of me until I realised that when you say "tie" you mean "contest" and not that the contests resulted in equal votes for each participant! (Not a criticism, just an observation: I don't know much about sports, so perhaps it's common to use "tie" in that context.)

That aside, you've done great work here, Colin -- looking forward to Round Three!

I love Shakara, and it'd win against most thrills, but not in this case. The Stainless Steel Rat gets my vote!

Probably goes without saying, but the Wagner interview is really great and essential listening.

Yeah, this is pure gold!

I loved Stella Creasy reeling off her comics history. Take that, knee-jerk haters!
Agreed -- I don't think I've ever heard of her before, but she comes across really well. It was a great panel -- very entertaining!

Cracking opening panel!
Haven't seen it yet... I was too musy watching Kelly, Arthur, Chris and myself on the YouTube channel!

Here's a fun game, pick a number for a page rate, multiply that up by the number of pages and that's how much money Matt has spent for Renegade :)

It's a remarkable achievement to have stayed so long at the helm, steering this legendary vessel to tremendous success despite its often very motley crew... and still be such a nice guy! He's not known as The Mighty One for nothing!

was that too rude...

Message received. I withdraw my suggestion.

Good stuff so far, but in the interests of self-interest, I'd like to humbly remind you lovely people of the existence of "Wulf Sternhammer: Valhalla" from the 2019 2000AD SciFi Special. Script by me, art by Patrick Goddard, letters by Simon Bowland.

Cracking good pic, Mini-Bolt -- and I love the idea of an older Whistler with cybernetic augmentation!

And Flip-R's pic (which is also excellent) reminded me that  I created the Whistler logo, all the way back in May 2004: Dave asked for something reminiscent of the classic Strontium Dog logo...

I echo Rich's comment! Dave meant so much to so many of us... For the past few weeks I've been trying to write something about him for my blog but it's defeating me. Seeing the posts here, though, has been very uplifting!
