Well the model for this tourney is the FA Cup and we all know that can throw up some wonderful shocks and giant killings... be nice... as we're only talking about writing for Tharg here.

Rob Williams - http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=droid&page=profiles&choice=ROBW

or

Mark Millar - http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=droid&page=profiles&choice=MARKM

What is all this nonsense you ask well we're finding out whose 2000ad (Meg and associated items) writing do you prefer? Voting - just add a comment here with whose work you prefer (and anything else you might wish to say to discuss their work). This vote closes some time early Sunday 7th June?

Two more Round 1 votes off start tomorrow.

Rob Williams was an easy choice here since Millar's AD work I never liked

I prefer Rob Williams' writing to Mark Millar's and I don't mind putting that in writing.

Rob Williams. Millar was definitely not a good fit for the prog. He might have cracked it if he stuck around longer, but I doubt he regrets leaving! Williams, on the other hand, has contributed some great stories and moments over the years, and hopefully will continue to do so for a long time.

At this stage I can confidently state that I do not like Williams' take on Dredd (and Hershey), but I admire him for putting his own stamp on the strip. I really liked Family,  Ordinary and loved Low Life.  Ichabod, Asylum and Ten Seconders had their moments too. One thing you can say about Williams, he's never boring.

To his credit Millar has one great Future Shock (or Tales from Beyond Science or whatever they were called)  in 'Long Distance Calls', and the bits of Silo that weren't straight lifts. And I suppose he gave Ezquerra some great things to draw.

Rob Williams all the way.

I don't have a drinking problem.  I drink, I get drunk, I fall over.  No problem!

Has to be Williams.

BUT... I thought Millar's Silo was excellent (I hadn't seen either The Shining or Die Hard at the time) and some of his Tales From Beyond Science and Terror Tales were great too.  The one about Lovecraft's dark gods proper shit me up at the time, a rare thing for horror in comics to do in my case.
