You may well have seen these on an e-mail, but if not have a look - the 3D chalk pavement art is amazing.

There's the Star Rider complete with foating chained shark. Gerry Embleton did the art for this part with Oliver Frey doing the actual scrap in the next two issues. Cabbie's last words now confirmed as 'Jings, I'm a write off'.

Interesting that this was a Wagner/Mills strip - was it a one off or did they have a fertile partnership before falling out over whose turn it was to buy the biscuits? or something...

Having trouble with that link scutfink.

I have a more or less full run of Eagle up tp the point it merged with the frankly shit Wildcat.

I remember vividly the shark on a chain thing. Dan and Zeta were escaping in a Scottish (drunk naturally) Robo Cab and the Mekon sends his mental bounty hunter the Star Rider after them. His flying shark on a chain eats the cab - 'Crivvens me paintwork' or something is said by the cabbie as they crash.

You are right to say Ian Kennedy drew most of the excellent 'Return of the Mekon' but this episode was drawn by Oliver Frey if I recall correctly, which I do.

It's the euphamism he uses for Dredd so that the postman delivering his scripts isn't tempted to be exposed to raw thrill power.

That or a nice flower he saw once, possibly in the buttonhole of the man who married his first love...

No. In the good old days it came in a plastic wrapper complete with Cliff Robertson Dredd. Nowadays its a dull A4 white envelope, which can be prone to bending and getting wet - you do get your Prog/Meg on a Monday - and save cash, especially if someone else is buying.

Half way down that I was thinking fair play to him as we've all done things (and people) we regret when pissed, but towards the end the feeling passed and one of tosser began to emerge.

Fair enough he's entitled to his opinion, and he does make some valid points, but restating them in what begins and ends as an apology deminishes the effect somewhat.

"I'll eat my own earwax"

And we all know how horribles that tastes, don't we kids?

Can't compete with the Afghans or even the cheese dryer but I did paint a garage door after spending two days priming it only to be told it was 'patchy'.

I then fitted a door bar and afterwards found it had the slight disadvantage of not allowing the door to close. I then rehung the door after shaving the bottom and it still sticks a bit. Bloody DIY!

I then came home to a council tax reminder (and the prog so that balances). On checking the stock market my speculative mining share (Griffin Mining) is down 13%, but at least I don't have a boss or an essay to do.

And then the man on 'Deal or no deal' found the ?100K and ?250k in one round at the start. I guess is the big scheme of things that's a relatively minor problem.

Help! / Re: Ebay help
22 May, 2006, 01:37:24 AM
When you go to the send invoice page the post total should be in one of the boxes before the total. I normally just insert the lowered combined total instead of the amount insereted by ebay and then 'recalculate'. This should then give a revised invoice to send. I normally also put a note in messages saying I've done this as the dimwits, sorry valued customers, normally rely 'wot no discount?'.
