Need some help, I've got over a thousand progs stacked in my cupboard, big old pile.  Any thoughts on a better way of looking after them?

I'm not sure that it's possible.  I have trouble with the couple of hundred that I have, they're stacked on a shelf.

First of all you double polybag them, then you put a grease proof backing board in to keep them stiff (oh er!), then you purchase a 2000ad sized comic storage box (these cost around ?5.00 and hold about 150 issues, depending on how many poly bags you use to store the individual comics).

For 1000 issues you'll probably need about 7 or so.

You then seal the box closed with elephant tape, place that into a refuge sack, seal that again with more elephant tape and place the lot in your loft never to see the light of day again , until your girlfriend/wife decides to convert the loft into a spare room AND FUCKS EVERYTHING INTO THE SKIP!!!!!

Well that's what I did.

Can I go home now.....

I'd say break them down into ten samll piles of 100 progs each. Box them up for the post and send them to the biggest 2000AD in the US. :)
