Looking for a Sci-Fi film

[Batman's Superior Cousin]

Its in black and white (possibly 1950's)

Its about an astronaut who arrives back on Earth to find alien have taken over ( these aliens look like the robot in The Day The Earth Stood Still).

Please help me.

Terrible movie (but almost certainly the one the OP is looking for), but I was suckered in by the awesome title.  Made for a really great Tom Waits song, though.
