cracking read and feels totally in canon with 2000ad's Dredd, which this one essentially is. Didn't spot any of the anachronistic errors of the novella either (like Umpty being illegal 20 years before it's made illegal - I look for these things as I'm a pedant )

Although Welsh sign language is called BSL, it is markedly different!  I discovered this when on of our customers came down to Cardiff from Manchester to discuss a claim.  He was deaf, so I was asked to interpret.  It was my first experience of a non-Welsh signing person, and was an invaluable experience!

There's also a lot of regional variation - people from Swansea have different signs compared to people from Cardiff, which is akin to the differences in spoken language between to the two regions, despite only being about 50 miles apart!

Hey Goaty, can you post a link to your 'Deaf Jogger' stuff please?  This'll be dead useful to anyone wanting to brush up on their BSL!

Actor Andrew Lincoln's father-in-law is flute playing rocker Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull.

I'd love to see Ian Anderson appear in the show playing his flute and leading the zombies away like the pied piper.

As it happens, my mum used to sing in one of Ian Anderson's first bands. The band would practice in my grandfathers garage. He caught up with her a few years back, and took her out to dinner when he swung by Edinburgh for a few days.

I didn't like The Saboteur much either, and didn't play it very long. However, I was tickled by one of the achievements -'A pint and a shag'.   

Watching this here comic relief show and there's a horrible film of a baby dying. That's not funny at all...

It's good that Ricky Gervais always laughs hysterically during his TV and radio shows, so you know which bits are funny. I think that's where they went wrong with Derek.

I always assumed he laughed hysterically to signify when to call him a fucking annoying twat.
