Other Reviews / FREE COMIC BOOK DAY
20 April, 2017, 08:33:15 PM
I'm curious to find out how many edition of 2000AD on free comic book day are there.   I've looked at the 2000ad database on Barney but nothing there. A full list with pics of the covers would be great. I think I may be missing only one ( 2011 ) but I'm not sure.

Prog / PROG 1837 END OF DAYS
15 June, 2013, 01:58:59 PM
Just had my prog drop through the mailbox and its DREDD on the cover. Art by Chris Weston

A definate nominee for the cover of the year ( so far )

DREDD: Wastelands new story by John Wagner.  Dredd is starting to feel the guilt that MC1 is laid waste due to his previous actions leading back to the Apocalpse war.

There is a good Future Shock at the end of the prog.

Will read the rest of the prog later.

Prog / PROG 1828 ALL YOU NEED IS BLOOD!
13 April, 2013, 11:39:52 AM
A great cover by Henry Flint with the funny twist of the SC4RABS running across a zebra crossing with All You Need Is Blood in bold capitals.

Dredd is the highlight this week...the last panel is a real shocker, so I won't spoil it for you all.

The rest of the prog is moving along nicely, but I'm not a fan of Dandridge.

Prog / PROG 1826 DISAPPEAR HERE!
30 March, 2013, 10:56:11 AM
My prog arrived earlier than expected today   :D

Dredd on the cover this week with a new artist on board..Paul Davidson, who also is the main artist for the new storyline for Dredd: Suicide Watch.

There is a mysterious new cult that has evolved in the wake of chaos day. The art is very good and the opening page has a great profile of Dredd arresting an old lady while being attacked by some perps. There is aPSI judge helping dredd at the end Judge Hamida. There appears to be a new foe for ol' Dredd to catch in this story.

Dandridge: Not a fan of this at all, but will read it through once its complete.

3rillers; great fun and finishes on a wee surpise for the boys.

Stickleback: the story moving along nicely here.

Zombo: absolutely brilliant this week . Wont say any more than that. Spoilers!

A very funny Droid Life completes the currrent prog:

Overall:9 out of 10

Hey  thats 2 weeks running am first with the latest prog news. :D

Funny , tongue in cheek frontcover by Simon Davis of Ampney and a martian ambassador.

Dredd:  just like to commend on Peter Doherty SUPERB art. I have always liked his attention to detail.

Red Seas:  plodding along nicely.

Savage.   great centre fold pic( ooerr)  of the Hammerstein robots in action.

Ampney and Strontium Dog are okay , I will read them when they are complete.

Overeall   8/10

Lovely cover of Hammerstein MK 2 war droid by Neil Roberts.

My wife was good enough to surprise me with a xmas present of the Justice dept miniatures by Mongoose Publishing.  I need to paint them though. Unfortunatley I am new to this so can anyone advice me to which paint I should use and where I can purchase it?   Thanks.

Its now tuesday afternoon and I am still awaiting arrival of prog 1710 from the Royal snail, I mean Mail. :(
Being a subscriber for many years now and a loyal reader since prog 1, Does anyone else have frequent late deliveries of their favourite publication. I am almost having withdrawal symptoms if I dont get my weekly fix of Dredd and the gang.
Is it just us in Scotland that have to suffer?, or is it nationwide? :-*
