I had a brief, fleeting glance at the demo last night.

I'd like to know how different the demo is from the final game. Obviously, the demo is a rough showcase of what the game is about, but any expansion you guys can offer might just persuade me to part with the cash!.

Have played the Marine and Alien campaigns, just got Predator to go. So far I think this is a storming game and there's almost nothing in the various negative reviews I read that I actually agree with.

No doubt other people might disagree depending on their taste but I think Rebellion did a fantastic job! I hope they do a sequel.

The animations and textures are more polished in the final game, controls seem a bit more responsive too. Also, of all the MP game modes the free for all Deathmatch in the demo is easily the worst, it's the only game mode where balancing is a problem. Species Team Deathmatch is far better, with all species having a fair chance. Also the other game modes (Predator Hunt, Domination, Infestation) are a lot more inventive and fun.

Thanks Keef!

That demo did feel a bit...ah... unfinished.

Sega has announced that Aliens vs Predator has become its fastest-selling game, MCV reports.

The new follows reports that the first-person shooter has shifted more units than any other game in 2010, outdoing Mass Effect 2 and BioShock 2 in the software charts.

"We are absolutely delighted with the strong first week sales of Aliens vs Predator," said Sega UK managing director John Clark.

"We are also very pleased that Aliens vs Predator has become Sega's fastest-selling game to date. With the exceptional level of pre-orders that had been achieved by launch, we had high expectations for the title and I am very pleased to say that it has delivered on those expectations."

Developer Rebellion is allegedly in talks with the publisher about continuous support for the title via DLC, as well as the possibility of a sequel.
