Congratulations to the big three medal winners, and especially Cravenoir for his frankly astonishing grasp of thrill-lore. And may I lead the forum in a round of applause for Dandontdare, both for his fiendish ingenuity in coming up with such a brilliant quiz and his clear generosity in terms of prize-giving. Jolly good show all round, chaps!

(On a personal note, I am amazed I beat the 90% barrier. Assumed I would be around 80%. Bloody number 21 though... Pussyfoot 5! I might've known...)

That 0.5% will haunt me forever.

This challenge was BRUTAL, but temptingly achievable. Thank God it was restricted to the weekly, and each strip was only represented once except for the six Dredds. There weren't any Future Shocks or smilar one-offs... which would've been nice to know at the start! But those constraints helped, as once Dredd, Dante, Sin-Dex, Rogue Trooper, Robo-Hunter, Slaine, and Nemesis were eliminated the field was cut down considerably.

It helped to have a good feel for the art styles and a rough sense of the era in 2000ad's history. I'd got 89 of them the first day, but it took a couple more sessions to nail the remainder. I couldn't rest until I'd got them all, and probably spent close to 16 hours on the task.

Colin YNWA and flip-r mk2, I salute you.

Thank you, DDD, for putting together a very well thought out challenge, and for torturing me and anyone else with a personality disorder. I had (mostly) a lot of fun, learned a few things, and doubtless would've done it if the prize had been two kicks up the arse.

NOOOOOO!!! I spent yesterday afternoon ignoring my family and trawling through a good 150 Progs to fill in a few blanks and had the same thing pencilled in for today. It's really bizarre how some of those obsure panels (the Night Zero and Tyranny Rex ones, for example) have stuck in the mind.

Not sure what my current score would be. It's certainly better than Buttonman's but not in the same league as CraveNoir. Chapeau, sir. Hats off to DDD for setting it up in the first place and to everyone else who's contributed to the advent calendar.

well you can take that to the bank. On an unrelated note I could've pumped Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox last night but chose to wash my hair instead. That counts too using The Cosh's scoring system. Hurrah!

Yes, by golly. Well done that man for an astonishing score. And all the other entrants too. But I'm still quite pleased with myself - as DDD pointed out, I compiled my entry hammered, at about 5 in the morning with no recourse to any research!
