Paul, luckily for you, there are a lot of snipers out there, so expect a flurry of last-minute bids. (Not from me, unfortunately.)
Yes, i think towards the end you will see the hardcore buyers throwing the bids in. Deffo watching this, though.
Ohhh, that's good!
It will rocket but I think I'd rather have this than some of the stuff from the Prop Store!

Awwww... that's sweet! Selling your art? Man, it MUST be luuuuuuuurrrrrrrrvvvvvv!
Top tip from organizing my own wedding - don't get caught up in all the shizzle that don't matter (favours on the table etc.), do it on a Friday cos you'll get the day you want and won't be hurried out the door by the next wedding, do for yourself what you'll pay through the nose for otherwise (invites, music etc.), get friends to use their talents instead of gifts (friends did the photos and cake for us) and spend the money and time on what you and you're guests will remember: the rings, free booze, good food and the playlist... always, always, the playlist. We worked on that last hour of music so hard, but the floor was rammed and we still love every song we picked.
Biggest cheer of the night? When the staff came round with huge plates of bacon butties around 10:00 in the evening!
Good luck with the sale...
Cheers for the warm reply with great sugestions.
Yeah i've sold pretty much all of my favourite 2000ad pieces. But they are irrelevant.
Gotta enjoy life. Working on good health and happiness.

Yeah, they are. Learnt this over the last 9 years.
Had shed loads of comics, signed limited books, figures, models etc, etc... Then my Son came along and I have been steadily selling the lot because Christmas and holidays making him happy me more to me than my collection of odds and sods.
It's only stuff...
Ok. I'm assuming I'm now banned?
Correct.

There's always room for 2000ad.
Best wedding photos ever!
Agreed!
Superb!
Auctions into it's final 12hrs. Hope it goes for more than it's at.
:(
Down to the last four hours if anybody is interested?
Happy with the outcome? :)
Quote from: ming on 23 January, 2013, 10:58:34 AM... Anyway, if it went on eBay today, I'd expect it'd fetch £400+ (maybe less, but it's a sought-after storyline).
Looks like my idea of the going rate was about right; a flurry of last-minute bids but not enough to push it very high. Too soon after Christmas, maybe? If Rufus was selling these pages at £600+ I'd say there's definitely a bit of inflation in his pricing (fair enough - it's a sellers market to some extent and this is premium stuff).
Anyway, I hope you manage to raise the cash you need, Paul.
Yeah happy as long as the winner pays ha!
Was it somebody on here?
Not me unfortunately :(
I think the price also depends on the storyline part it represents. Something with the attack or Dredd leading the retribution or the first use of Stubb guns etc might be worth a lot more simply because it's more iconic.
All Apocalypse War pages are good though (and I want one!) but some are better than others.

Or a AW page that features an totally explicit and red-hot topless shot of Anderson. If some lucky devil had that, then that must surely be worth millions..... ;)
Well i guessed £450, so wasnt far out. On average though Ezquerra pages are still pretty mid-range when it comes to prices. Strange, very strange.
May have picked up a few more bids if it had been an evening finish instead of a mid-morning one. But E-bay is such pot luck, that i dont take it seriously at all.
A decent sum was raised for you Paul, and thats the main thing.
Indeed. It will get put to good use.
:)
Cheers for the support chaps!
