Seems like Absolute Swamp Thing vol 2 is sold out (again), but noticed on Books etc that they've got the Akira 35th Anniversary boxset for £100:
https://www.booksetc.co.uk/books/view/-9781632364616

Not sure what sort of price this goes for normally but seems a pretty good price. I've never actually read the whole thing (started collecting the Epic run when it started but never stuck with it) and the softcover versions go for around £15-20 each so it's around the same price for all six volumes in hardcover (plus an additional book, Akira Club) so I've gone for it.

You won't regret it - it's a lovely box set of an awesome story.  It was this boxset that dragged me back into comics after a long hiatus. Like you I'd never finished the story and when I saw this advertised I thought - hell yeah. Since then I've filled a couple of bookcases.
The Akira boxset is much bigger than I'd anticipated so required a complete rejig of my bookshelves but looks great - just need to find the time to read it now!

For anyone who ordered the Absolute Swamp Thing volume 2 but never received it (like me), it seems to be back in stock at a few UK retailers. Not quite as cheap as the Amazon deal but Books etc seem to be the cheapest at the moment - £43.00 delivered:

For anyone who hasn't already pre-ordered the Absolute Swamp Thing V2 from Amazon for £28.16 it has now dropped to £23.25, which is just stupid for a book with a RRP of £80.00.  This is price matching Hive.co.uk if you'd prefer to order elsewhere, but there are a couple of other sites also selling it for <£30 (wordery, WH Smiths).

If you're into Peter Bagge you can currently get the Complete Neat Stuff double hardback set for under £20 from Book Depository via Amazon at the moment (RRP apparently £53.00, Amazon have it listed for £37). As a 3rd party seller I'm not sure how many copies they have though.

Well this has landed on my return from holiday and by all that is unholy this is a wonderous thing. One of the best things I've spent £20 in my misbegotten life. Its just magnificent. Amazing production value and flicking through the two volumes comics I'm very ready to revisit. Superb and if you've not picked this up and have £20 licking around you'd be a fool not to pick this up.

bernardsfingers I salute you.
Ha ha, well thanks I guess. I bought The Bradleys paperback collection plus the last Hate collection (Buddy Buys a Dump) a couple of months back which led me to eyeing up the Neat Stuff collection for a while, but with no real expectation of actually buying it at the £30-£40 asking. I occasionally check prices of a few books on my want list using a price comparison site and just randomly saw it had dropped to £20, so jumped at it. I wasn't sure what to expect when my copy arrived - it's a nice set but chunkier than I anticipated (I tried to find a video review on YouTube to gauge the size) so I've had to do yet another bookshelf shuffle and chucked some stuff on eBay to make room.

I'm slightly gutted as I only recently paid more than this for a slightly battered copy of book 2, plus around £30 for book 3. They are good books so I'm not too fussed. I wish I was more patient and just waited for prices to drop but once I've got it in my head to buy something I find it hard to resist.

Just seen Amazon have two of the three deluxe hardcovers of Saga for sub-£20 - book 2 for £17.25 and book 3 for £19.46. They are generally around £25-£30 each so decent price if you're looking for them.

I think Neat Stuff was just on the final couple of issues when I first read it - one of my mates at school lent me a couple of back issues. I bought a few back issues & some of the collections but I'm it's so long since I've read any of it I'm hoping it's still funny. I must have been about 14 or 15 at the time and remember laughing at the more puerile gags. Hate coincided with getting into booze, smoking and drinking and I loved it - still got the comics stored at my mum's house. Wasn't too keen on anything he did afterwards though (sweatshop, yeah!, etc). Anyway, I've bought this but I'm currently at full capacity at home so not sure exactly where it will go. I'm kinda operating a one-in-one-out policy and chucking stuff on eBay when I get the chance to make room but it's a slow process.

Just to confirm the listings have how ended - most of the stuff sold except for the set of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 'Tempest' and Tom Strong Bk 3. If anyone happens to be interested in either of these then please drop me a message.

I've got a few graphic novels/comics on eBay at the mo, including a complete run of LOEG 'The Tempest' comics, 3 of the Alan Moore Saga of the Swamp Thing hardcovers, 4 of the Tom Strong hardcovers plus Book Four TPB of Grant Morrisons The Invisibles. Take a look:

Zavvi are doing a deal on 10 DC graphic novels for £19.99 (plus £1.99 postage) with a fair selection to choose from, although it's still a stretch to find ten for me.

They've taken £15.99 from my account so I'm just going to assume they know something I don't.

65/66 here also, in a card envelope that looked like someone had given it a serious kicking. I took photos, expecting another replacement request was imminent. Somehow, the books are both fine. I've no idea how. (There was an actual chunk missing from the envelope.) That Strontium Dog book is a bit chunky, isn't it?

Also, my delivery note said I'd be charged 40 quid, for some reason. So I need to check on that. Again.
Ha ha yeah it's about twice the size of the accompanying Slaine book (or is that one particularly slim?)

Anyway, it seems that Hachette's accounts have gone slightly screwy. I've since checked my Hachette account & that shows standard payment of £22.98 is due.

I had actually contacted them a week or so back to ask about the fact they hadn't taken the payment for 63/64 & was told that a payment of £15.99 was due to be taken shortly. This confused me (obviously) & I asked them to confirm that I wasn't somehow being charged for the covers special (which I have asked not to receive several times previously) but they said no, it's for the latest delivery. Now the books have arrived & I am indeed being charged £15.99 it's unclear what I'm actually being charged for.

Now I'm hoping they take a payment - whether it's £22.98, £15.99 or even £45.96 (ie the actual amount I am due to pay for the last 2 sets of books) - as don't want to miss several months payments due to their incompetence & then hachette suddenly try to take the while lot in one go.
