Quote from: "SamuelAWilkinson"Behave yourself now. The point is that V's massive labyrinthine plots bring down the government as surely as if he'd've done the shooting himself - remember that lovely scene at the start of Act 3 with the dominoes?

Well that's all well and good though some of V's methods work better than others. Making the 'Voice of Fate' change is nothing short of genius, though computer hacking just isn't V's style – it's not theatrical and symbolic enough, and is a very specialised skill...and besides, how would he ever get the technology and connect it up? To use it today would be even more absurd considering the increased level of security. Despite the symbolism of the dominos etc being very effective you get the idea that Alan needed some practical device to move the revolution forward and brought in the computer element.

For me it was a shame they didn't use the 'unmasking of V' sequence from the book as it's already very cinematic and says so much about what V is about, and would have been a very powerful movie scene – perhaps they wanted to keep the exposition-heavy voice-over scenes to a minimum.

On V for Vendetta, I'm still amazed that they were able to make a relatively faithful adaption of a comic book about a terrorist in the post 9/11 world. Still blows my mind.
The I is for 'I can't remember the password to my other account' or Ian. One or the other.
