I started a thread for this, though I left out the details so as not to spoil it: http://forums.2000adonline.com/index.php/topic,40466.msg824418.html#msg824418

picked mine up this AM, FP was heaving.
Dredd a fine post DoC story, with a couple of blasts from the past nicely worked-in , only complaint was the black ink in my copy for the first four and last four pages was very very pale so the Dredd story and Daily Dredd were tricky to read, but hey its free stop moaning right?
Nice to visit Gibbons' RT again, While Durham Red's Red Sonya outfit looks incredibly dated.
Had hope Absalom was going to be a new tale, but no.

Damage Report: poor thing!

Picked up my copy and Sam grabbed one as well. The Grinning Demon was packed out and outside were artists sketching away.
Here's a pic of me and Sam flanking the owner Graham and to the right is 2000 AD artist Jack Lawrence.

Got my first free comic today, it was gone last year!

I actually edge him by a millimetre or so but he'll fly past me very soon. He's all legs though

When Caz (yes I dragged her along) took the picture and I checked it, that's what I noticed straight away. I'm putting it down to our different stances ;)

Is that not the very drawing McMahon used to demonstrate how to draw and ink Dredd in one the annuals or specials?...1979 or '80 maybe?

Got mine - but they were flying like hot cakes - there were actually none left when I got there but they had a few extras tucked behind the counter - so I didn't feel it was fair to take an extra for someone here. Sorry about that.

Got my FCBD Prog today and have just started diving in.
Thoughts so far-the Dredd story is really fantastic and the art compliments the writing superbly!
Much kudos to the Smith, Burnham, Fairbairn and Parr droids!

Flicked through the rest of the Prog, which appears equally superb!

Well done to all involved! The bar has been set very high for FCBD issues in the future!   :)

As usual I got to Forbidden Planet waaay too late to get my 2000AD (Dunk very kindly got me one last year). Probably just as well, as the queue this morning was around the block apparently, and with three kids in tow that would have been grim.

My girls did well out of it when we eventually got there though:

Fingers crossed one of my Lawgiver compadres got me a copy of 2000AD.

I have a spare and will be there on Monday if no-one else got one for you
