News / Re: New Rebellion collections - in...

Regarding the Case Files, are they going to included the epics or just the parts between?

If it's everything, it would be a shame that Cursed Earth wouldn't appear uncut because of the Burger Wars/Giants aren't Gentlemen segments.

Any idea if Rebellion have considered approaching the parties again to see if they would allow them to be published, or is it best thought to let sleeping dogs (and lawyers) lie?

Cheers,

Steve

The original surveillance seems really bizarre - wouldn't it be normal procedure to have 2 officers, to cover each other, especially if it was for such an important crime?

To hear that the guy watching the flats was having a piss and was unable to transmit the video which could saved a life seems unbelievable.

My dubious DIY skills are probably clouding my judgement.

There's some pretty strangely worded ones there.

I'm still trying to work out why they classify annoying a child the same as molesting.

And 'possession of a destructive device' - what, a hammer? Seems a bit harsh...

Re: the Bloodline speech, I'm guessing that there's a 'no' missing, and Vienna had given an invented Bloodline flaw as a possible excuse for termination.

I'll forgive Carlos a slip-up on the elbow pad...

Great art on Dredd, good prog overall. I do like the nods to previous Luna-1 stories in Breathing Space, it makes it feel part of an established continuity than say, TSDM. And Christopher Lee cameos by the looks of it...

I'm wondering if it's going to be like 'Identity' - not going to spoil it for those who haven't seen it.

Hope I'm wrong though...

I quite like the design of the eagle, and the way the should pad is bisected, mirroring the feathers of the eagle.

What?.... Her What?

Yeah, they're good as well. :)

Chris Morris would be proud of that map of 'sick' Britain...

I thought it was funnier when she drew lines on her face with makeup, put her pants on her head, and got put out when no-one really seemed to take any notice.

Wonder why it was Blunkett Towers, rather than the current Jug-eared Fungus lookalike home sec?

Maybe Dud has been up to tricks with someone high up in a meg magazine?

I guess Blunkett was more of a knee-jerk, guilty before trial proto-dredd.

Or they just wanted a statue of a guide-dog as well.

Good prog overall, Fantastic cover.

Not sure about the colouring on the Dredd tale though. It did seem to be a rerun of the slow crime day story (especially with Skerritt and his body cavity fixation) but it will be interesting to see how the Total War/Guantanomo spin develops...

Thanks WoD,

I hope Rebellion might do something with Dredd again, although I know the cost of development is starting to get pretty high.

The good thing about next-gen games consoles is that the assets could be easily good enough for TV work,  since you need to create a high-detail model in the first place.

So if a game were developed for Xbox 2, Playstation 3, you would be have a lot of models that could be used.

Anyway... I'm just finishing off the traffic today, which will be that scene finished for the reel, then I'm going to have a crack at Dredd and maybe redress that scene as a background for him.

Cheers

Thanks,

it's early days yet, I'm dreading (hoho) to think how the shoulder pads are going to work when the arms move in certain positions, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

3D packages aren't hard to learn as such, it's more that they're a bit bewildering coming in knowing nothing at all. I find it's best to maybe start with the modelling side and forget about anything else to start with, then move on to materials/rendering, then rigging the character up finally.

There are a few free 3D apps (Blender, Milkshape) and the principles are the same for most of them. E.g. you build models out of polygons, vertices, edges etc.

Cheers
