Sinister Dexter lost me a long , long time ago

Me and all. I was really disappointed the predictions in that weird story where they're skeletons never came to pass.  Every time something bad happens it gets fixed again:  Even
Demi
came back.  I'll reserve judgement on this; it looks more interesting being set outside of Download - and no shades!  That's definitely a first, Malone aside.

But I like the white make-up.  It's just the kind of thing that people in a fucked-up Eurocity of the future would wear, in my book.  And Finny was doing it lonnnng before Heath Ledger.

If the radius of your pizza = z and the thickness = a, what is the volume of your pizza?

Yep, looks aces. Really looking forward to it.

One teeny-tiny criticism - is it really necessary to add 'people call home' to the bit about the concrete landscape?  Seems a bit superfluous and jarring; it is a city, after all.  But like I say, a tiny drop of criticism in a sea of awesomeness.

Also, fair play to you, Dale, for rejoining the thread with that post of contrition. It genuinely warms my heart to see it. I believe the balance of the Force has been restored.

I've never looked at this cover in the same way.  :o

Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

QuoteWell no need to click that  but I remember they did same with Dark Knight Rises's Bane?

Yep, just ask Roger.  (Or give his ma a nudge and ask her.)

P.S.  This was meant to be Goaty's tribute thread.  What have I done?

For your own safety I'll put you straight onto Know Your Meme, which explains it but doesn't show the original image.  You don't want to see that.

Beyond arsom.  I like to think David Bowie has been pulling the belly off himself 24 hours a day to this video, and if so, I fully empathise with him.

You are indeed a legend, Goaty.  Even the Dredd 3D production team are in agreement.
Now, how about a 'Goatse is a legend' thread?  (Don't look it up, it's what got Godpleton banned)

Off Topic / Meditation

Just wondering if anyone does it, or at least tries to do it?

Me, I used to do at least 10 minutes of it every day but fell out of the habit; just recently started up again.  I did a couple of days' worth of meditation with a group in Thailand (under the tutelage of a Burmese monk, but without too much of the religious aspect) and generally used the method of watching your breath and observing your thoughts.  A friend of mine is about to start a course in Transcendental Meditation very soon, as endorsed (very enthusiastically) by David Lynch.

Nothing mystical or anything about it in my book, just a nice way of clearing the mind out for the day ahead.

'Hateful, blasphemous, prejudiced, vulgar, rude, or ignorant remarks are the music of a free society, and the relentless patter of idiots is how we know we're in one.' - Daniel Gilbert

Like everything Frank Miller writes these days, Holy Terror is absolutely fucking shite: the ludicrous bleatings and scribbles of a man who no longer seems to have a clue what he's doing.  But I'm glad I'm allowed to make that judgement for myself rather than having some faceless censor make it for me.  That's the thing about censorship - what's so special about the censors themselves that means they get to look at everything?

Fuckinell.  Wendy James used to play pool in my local pub, in a very improbable turn of events for a small midlands Irish town.  Sadly I was too young to get in.  My mate got a pound note signed by her and a game of pool with her, the bastard

"Hi Brinna, what're you watching?"
- "John Cage: Atonal Avenger."

This only a few short weeks after the same writer had a character called Cornelius Cardew save the day. Don't worry, I didn't get that reference until much later either.

Sorry, I'm thick. Could you explain it?  I remember it alright.
