hi im new,and im all for the time lapse/initiation period,i used to use the battlefield 3 forums and they are the most detestible forums your likely to come across,im totally anti troll and will be looking forward to having a decent dissusions with like minded people who dont use the gutless anonimity of the interweb to spread their shortcummings in life. cheers ;-)

Ah, I know exactly what you mean by those BF3 boards. Seriously, though, it's not just there. I've noticed that it's a trend these days to just be a moaning, negative wanker on the internet. It's getting worse by the year, and I just think it's a sad reflection on today's society in general. It's not that I'm just getting older, either. I've noticed this down the years being online. More and more gobshites having free license to run their traps online. It often makes message boards and comment sections seriously irritating to read, the Dredd trailer on Youtube being a classic case in point.

As somebody who has been posting to the IMDB boards for awhile, I understand and agree with this method.  About once per week I find myself bumping Goaty's "don't feed the trolls" thread on that board.  I sometimes feel as if I need a shower after reading some of the trollish threads that pop up there whenever the film gets into the news cycle.  BTW-Mr. Wells, would that infamous troller you had issues with be the same one who has been trolling the IMDB boards?  I believe his name starts with an S.

Haven't read many of the comment sections on YT for a while. There are a couple of legends on there though, Eldospinks and Silverthumring. They must have gone through a couple of keyboards between them with the hours they've put in.

And myself for awhile, haven't been back there much since the film came out but poor old Silverthumbring has to wait for the Aussie release.

Aye, this expat is waiting very patiently till the 25th Oct. Hope they don't pull it if the State side figures don't improve. This is the only time I've missed being back home, that and Greggs Scotch pies of course.

Well Dredd doesn't come out here in Amsterdam till October 11 but I'm not too worried about the chances of it being pulled, Dutch theatres are more open minded towards critical reception then box office intake and Dredd is already getting excellent reviews.

Pretty sure I wont be disappointed given the critical reception. Knew it would be good once I heard of Alex Garlands involvement. Anyway, I've already had my anticipointment film this year with Prometheshite and I don't reckon it will be the case with Dredd.

Still glad I didn't go see that. it seems the film's only selling point is that it's a possible Alien prequal which it clearly isn't.

Prometheus is a fantastically beautiful film that defies its own internal logic.  It wants to be a deeply thought provoking old school science fiction story, but succeeds at being really lame alien porn.  On the other hand, Dredd knows exactly what it wants to be and nails it.
