Ohhh I really want to get Talisman for the Switch as I loved the boardgame as a kid. If anyone plays this would love to know if its a good adaption.

It's better than good. It adapts all the fourth (most recent) expansions which - and I know from experience - take up more space than any table can handle, then has even more digital only expansions.

The DLC is regularly on sale at 80% off.

Oh that is good to hear. In Switch land I've got it on my watch list and I've only seen at 20% off (ish can't quite remember) but next time I see it I'll take the plunge anyway as I've been looking forward to playing it again and its great to see an endorsement - which it also seems to get online too.

I have it on PC, so you're talking Steam sale discounts.

One annoying thing is the way it randomises all dice rolls at the start of the game (it creates a table of a million or so numbers at the outset and then reads that). But it is fun. We play digital more than physical.

I just started Dying Light today, for the first time. I find its area of attack hard to measure compared to other melee games, especially Skyrim, but I am enjoying it.

Regarding co-op, Dead Space 3 was my best experience. There is one section where a character goes mad. One player sees a series of demons attacking - which you have to shoot. The other player sees their co-op partner wasting a SHIT TON OF AMMO before a boss fight.

I was the mad one, and the experience of hearing my brother asking what the feck I was doing, then me saying "what are you on about? Shoot them! Shoot them!" was a true highlight of 40+ years of gaming.

I watched GODZILLA v KONG too.

A film in which I knew what was going to happen having seen no trailer.

A film filled not so much with plot holes as plot voids. (Wait, there's hole tunnel that leads to a lost world at the centre of the Earth?)

A film that makes the city of Hong Kong look curiously like a mid-eighties night club. (Seriously. Every building has neon lighting along the edges).

A film which is fun and exactly fulfils expectation.

This is a remake of yer 70s Japanese epics. Go into it expecting that, for that is what you get.

On BMI, I vividly remember a critical article that started with a full page photo of Lennox Lewis (who was champ at the time).

The guy was ripped . All muscle. I mean, he was the epitome of physical perfection.

The caption was (paraphrasing) "This man is morbidly obese."

I hate Dredd-in-space, and I'm not keen on picaresque stories. So you can guess how I feel about Judge Child! Love the Angel Gang (of course) but Krysler and his abilities are really ill-defined, as is the Grunwalder and his robot-planet(?), as are the magic abilities of the Oracle Spice. And there isn't really an ending to speak of, after all that faffing about.

Terror/Total War for me, a first class Mega-City thriller that led to six whole months of superb aftermath stories.

You want superb aftermath stories? I give you Fink, Destiny's Angels and City of the Damned. Plus every Mean Machine story ever.
