A couple of classic McCarthy covers...

Likewise for me, and my gushing about it is in one of the special progs (although I can't remember which one).

I'll also add this one as well:

Done years ago for one of the messageboard comps, drawn completely in Illustrator IIRC. A bit rubbish looking at it now, though!

Still immensely shocked and saddened after hearing this on Saturday. Stewart was a great bloke and as well as knowing him from way back at the time of the alt.comics.2000ad newsgroup and then the messageboard, I had the pleasure of sharing several pints with him at various conventions over the years. As well as being a fount of Dredd knowledge, he was also one of the very few people who pronounced my nickname correctly from the off (with a hard s and not as 'Wilz').

Mine and Malchi's hearts go out to Deborah and his family at what must be a devastating time for them.

Farewell, Logan. May your Lawgiver always fire true.

Watched both live action Attack on Titan films back-to-back on a flight home from Tokyo. Found them both daft and watchable.

Aaand it's back down to £12.74. The price I've got next to my pre-order is a nice £9.59, though. :)

Books & Comics / Re: Ron Smith does Red Dwarf

That's great. I never even knew Ron had done these.

In a similar vein, Carlos did at least one strip in a Russ Abbott annual, but I sadly don't actually have a copy.

What an awful AWFUL thing to happen. It's a shame that this atrocity will always be associated with the film, but at the same time it could be seen as a sort of memorial to them.

Also...

even someone take baby and kid to midnight screening, who would do that?  :(

...I've got to agree with every word my fellow deaffo has to say here and can't even begin to imagine why he felt the need to apologise, as he's not said or done *anything* that warrants it.

Beware. Only 2 people in the world look good with a moustache. 1 is my dad, the other is Frank Zappa and he's dead. Moustaches are very tricky to carry off.

I appear to have the superpower of suiting and carrying off everything I've tried facial hair-wise so far. Giving the Guy Fawkes beard a rest at the mo and currently sporting a thick, slightly droopy tache and full mutton chops. :)

Dredd should sound like John Inman and the Lawmaster computer should be based on Stanley Unwin.

After falling asleep both times I attempted to watch it before, I spotted and bought Hardware on Blu-Ray for £6.07. After one of the longest hour and a halves I've ever had, I decided that I paid £6.08 too much for it. What a dull, pretentious pile of shite; desperately trying to force sci-fi into arthouse. Malchi keeps quoting the Shades bit at the end in the shower which keeps giving me flashbacks to its terrible, *terrible* script.
