General / Noah who?

Hello again to anyone who remembers me and to all those who've dared to forget me! ;)

I've recently returned to the welcoming shores of 2000adonline.com after my voyages to find land resulted in various mishaps and general tomfoolery.

A minor problem occurred with the realisation that it was perhaps not such a good idea to bring a pair of Wirrn on to my Ark.

Luckily my time spent on this site had prepared me for battle with hive-minds and I was able to prevent the assimilation of most of the livestock and crew (We lost the Dragons and Thora Hirds) by dividing the swarms opinion over something trivial thus causing the internal dynamic of their society to collapse, leaving them to battle amongst themselves*.

We thought things were looking up after landing on Arrarat but we discovered it to be have been over run by Krool soldiers. Luckily we had Jim Davidson on board and as you know there is nothing the Krool fear more than... Wait for it... "Bad Company". No? Oh well. Please yourselves.

Anyway, a *VERY* sincere apology to Al Says Pop for not getting in touch and thanking him for the fantastic bundle of comics he gave me as a prize for his William Dozier Dredd competition. They were extremely appreciated. Even if it's torturing me as to how some of the stories turned out! Thank you Al. You are a star.

Dudley, I never got the spare Placebo poster mag you said you'd send me. I managed to pick up a copy with my Metal Hammer though. Upon reading it I'm glad I never received it off you though cos I might have asumed it was hate mail! Yep, not since "Judge Dredd Lawman of the Future" have I been so insulted by a comic strip. Well, there was that time I bought Digital Justice...

Oh well. I'm sort of back now, although on an infrequent basis. I hope it's still a fun and welcoming place to be and I hope the familiar faces haven't become cynical and jaded old buggers. PVS excluded of course. ;)

Cheers mateys,

Noah Morningstar Angel

Well the Trout has quite rightly been "carping" (did you see what I did there?) on about the lack of comic related threads on site at the mo', so here's a nice one for you all.

Get inside the mind of your fave 2K writers and describe the process of their comic creations as you see it. It doesn't have to be Alan and John, but God help us should anyone choose John Smith (and at least one of you will). Here's my daftness with absolutely no apologies for the stilted dialogue whatsoever...

Picture the scene:

Little John Wagner and even littler Alan Grant are sat round Johns house after school one evening.

Johns mam has made a big plate of jam and salmon pate sandwiches (all in one to save on bread) and provided them with lots of happy shopper pop before plonking them in front of the TV and nipping out to the bingo....

Alan: JINGS!!! It's Scooby Doo. He's prawper braw.

John: Aye so he is. I winder whit thae wee badgie roond his neek stands fer tho.

Alan: Whit d'ya mean yah big daft nyaff. It stands fer Scooby Doo o' course.

John: Nah, that's fer to obvious. D'ya no ken he's a big mutant talking doggie? I reckon hes go himsel' a big dose of yon radiation and it's short fer somethin like Strontium Dug or something.

Alan: Ah away wi' yer John. That's some braw imagination yous got on ye. Ye should be writing fer the comic bookies.

John: Hmmm.

Well there's nasty weather ahead for the country. Severe floods and storms are on their way, but I've a stable set aside on my Ark for a couple of 2K fans.

State the reasons why you should be saved from the wrath of God and I'll select a suitable breeding pair from you all to re-populate the message board with.

Those of you not selected would be advised to keep a look out for Bill Savage in his DUKW 'cos I'm not leaving the unicorns behind a second time.

Hello all. Been reading the board for over a year and finally decided to give in and sign up so I can access the rest of the site and download some stuff (probably not the best time going by some of the recent threads :)). I may actually join in and post now and look forward to my official welcome from Devons daddy.
