...Kelsey Grammer!

I can see this working in terms of voice & personality, but I just can't see Frasier peeling a banana with his feet. Hey ho - that's what SFX are for, I suppose...

Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!

Lord Running Clam

Not somebody I would of guessed, but he does seem like a good choice and I can't wait to see him in head to foot blue fur.

Richmond Clements

Interesting.
I wonder if he will be playing it at all, or it'll be through the miracle of CGI?

Noisybast

I can't help but think of the way Abe Sapien was played in Hellboy: physically suitable guy in a suit on screen, plummy guy from Frasier doing the voice. Worked for me...

Buddy

Character yes, physical no.

Arn't the X-Men supposed to be teenagers? (except Logan of course)

Generally Contrary

Well, depends what era we're talking about.  Hank definately gets quite a bit older as the books progress- as do the rest of the early X-Men.

GordonR

Wasn't Dr Hank McCoy briefly seen in X-Men 2, being interviwed on a TV in the background of a scene?  And he definitely wasn't Kelsey Grammer.

Or maybe you just heard his name mentioned.  Can't really remember.

Wils

In a similar way, wasn't the bloke who becomes the Lizard being interviewed on TV in Spider-Man 2?

GordonR

Professor Connor actually appears in Spidey-2.  He's Peter Parker's college professor, and a friend of Otto Octavius.  It's definitely the future-Lizard, missing arm and everything, but one of those refs only the comic fans will pick up on.  He's also briefly mentioned in Spidey-1.

Dan Kelly

Also of course, it's the future Man Wolf who is jilted at the altar by MJ.

Even more bizarre; in X3, Vinnie Jones is apparently playing Juggernaut.

GordonR

In the comics, isn't Juggernaut supposed to be Professor X's brother, or did I imagine that?

If they're using that bit of comic continuity, the casting makes a *bit* more sense - Patrick Stewart and Vinnie are both English.  And bald(ish)

The Monarch

I'm pretty sure they are step brothers in the comics though with the way things change in them at the mo....

Dan Kelly

It's half brothers.

Also they have cast Scott Madej as Young Xavier for the required flashbacks...
