DREDD 2 would be a lovely christmas present.

I think you are more likely to see Santa. There was a screening of Dredd at our local arts centre to finish up the  Dredd art exhibition. Three people turned up. Me and fellow boarder DrEdgeWild and his girlfriend. If £2 and free popcorn can't get bums on seats I don't know what will.

Where is this and where is the Dredd art exhibition?

Short Circuit is another one!  I dread to think how that may have aged.

Probably better than Short Circuit 2- so bad even Guttenberg bailed.

But we need a hero (doo doo doooooo)

It
does all work out in the end
, you know.  I like that the 'happy ending' of the film is actually the
improved relationship between David and Jeff
, rather than anything cosmic (man).

Aye but only because The Navigator ended up needing David again - if it hadn't crashed there would be
no time travel. And what model of time travel is this? Maybe for David, it seems like he's right back at home. But really he's in an alternate timeline... and in the one he just left, a broken family weeps at seeing their boy returned only to disappear once more.
I may be mostly joking. This and Short Circuit were my favourite kids movies.

A firm favourite in the family. One day I will attempt the drinking game....

Also ET may take a few liberties when he crashes at Elliott's but The Navigator kidnaps a small child, experiments on his brain, wipes his memory and returns him to Earth ten years after he was snatched, thus ruining his entire life and that of his family.

Started watching League of Gentlemen on Netflix - bloody brilliant stuff. My housemates are perplexed by how dark it all is, how it blends the prosaic world of a small, rundown town in the moors with a surreal carnival of insane characters and incredibly creepy ideas. What's all this shouting? We'll have no trouble here!

Other times I be mostly watching the Shield from start to finish when I work from home. Up to Forest Whittaker, genius character.

I just went wandering as soon as I could hit things without falling over. Found the merchant mudcrab all on me own

Goonies was on yesterday afternoon.
My wife loves this film but I just find it full of shouty annoying children.

I like the Goonies. But by god, it is shouty when you watch it with the sound turned up properly.

Make it even more Christmassy playing the Elf drinking game by only drinking eggnog or mulled wine.

Mulled wine worked but got us utterly smashed (not a bad thing).

Eggnog would be a recipe for a messy floor, wall, TV and couch before Buddy is even in New York.

On another forum - can't seem to track down any info confirming this. I fear it may be true though... but then there are solicits for up to #28 so could just be all fearmongering.

Elf is brilliant.

Each year me and a few old friends play the Elf drinking game. The rules are simple but punishing:

Drink every time:

 • Someone says 'Elf'
 • Someone says 'Santa'
 • Someone says 'Christmas'

These three things happen *alot* in Elf. The first 15 minutes is intense.

Sigh,

NO NO NO NO NO!

I have two copies of Skyrim.

Neither works because of their rotten on line password system refuses to acknowledge my account.

How did you purchase them on Steam if you can't log in?
