What are you saying? That she's a librarian turned into an orangutan by a freak magic spell? I'm wise to your hip kids slang! How dare you, sir, how dare you!

Olivia's got some great energy and it's reassuring to hear her speak so enthusiasticly about her time on Dredd.
Lets hope she gets a chance to reprise her role-she certainly appears to have been the perfect choice for Anderson.

Ha ha!  That's how it's done,  ... Thanks!

Well she seems to be positive about the DREDD Film. That can only be another silver lining after the Writer/Director's alleged dispute over the Edit button.

She's still an actor doing what she's paid to do.

Sorry but you been a lot negatives on this Dredd film board?

JOE SOAP

Not negative but I'm aware that we've seen nothing yet to make a true quality judgement. If you know the comments I've posted since the film threads first started you'll see I've been way more open and supportive/defensive than not for this film -compared to many who moaned about the slightest things- supporting and preferring the look/choices of the uniform/story etc.

But I see no reason to take quotes from actors/media/marketing as a realistic indication of how the film will really turn out, recent events have been revealing and no one professional will truly speak bad of it -even if they think it- until way after it's released. I recall the actors of the '95 film gushing about how great their film was, how did that turn out. If it's a bad film -there's been no indication it will be- we'll know it next year.

Until we have something substantial to talk about, the insubstantial/predictable comments uttered before any film by those involved mean very little.

Thanks Joe, for your reply, as just dont want the thread became moans about anything, as you was with the writer Alex Garland on other thread, as we dont know the REAL fact. At moment, there is one or two odd reports with some people or actor or actress talk about the film as nothing much happens as we the fans hope for the film we likes till 1995 film was ruined by its awful. As there was a little true quality judgement with Empire photos of Dredd few months ago, it still looks Awesome, and with some reports from Michael.

So better to think positives and wait till the film on way, if it in cinema or DVD, and we can enjoy or not!

JOE SOAP

I see no reason to be unrealistic with expectations, less chance of disappointment, and I'm not into jumping around just because someone says 'it's going to be brilliant, it's Dredd' or sheepishly censor myself from criticising/commenting on what is reported of the films progress.

IAMTHESYSTEM

Let's hope Olivia Thirlby wasn't 'acting darlings' when she said she enjoyed shooting the DREDD flick.

Domhnall Gleeson was on the Saturday Night Show on RTE ONE and mentioned Dredd though both he and the host Brendan O'Connor were calling it Judge Dredd. Didn't say much other than he was 'excited' about it.

Don't know if anyone outside Ireland can view the show:
