Nice thick package from Simon Fraser arrived last week, just before I flew off for a quick trip to Dublin. Will post the pages later, but the crowning glory was this great commission of all the International Judges we could think of! Originally we started with about 8 Judges but as I pulled up more reference (in total about 350 images), Simon found more ways to squeeze characters in (for the same cost)! True some are just 'floating heads' but its not like Indo Cit's uniform was particularly original
Unfortunately, deadlines interfered and Simon couldn't do the additional colours as well and passed that on to Gary Caldwell - who did a great job

From L to R - East Meg/Sov-blok, Vatican City, Luxor, Sino Cit, Mega City Two (Pug Dredd from the IDW series), Hondo City, Indo Cit, Oz, Mega City One, Cal-Hab, Pan African Alliance, Ciudad Barranquilla, Brit Cit, Pan Andes Conurb, Texas City and the Emerald Isle/Murphyville.

Tracked down PJ Holden at Dublin Comic Con and was tempted by several of the Dredd pages he had in his folder, but eventually settled on this cracking Rogue Trooper page - only discovered the pencils on the back when he was packaging it up for me at the end of the day! Bonus!

coincidentally, i just posted the (variant) cover for the first issue over in the Original Art thread i agree that Mark Russell seems a great fit for Mega City stories and it sounds like he's been working on the plot for a while, so hopefully it will be a good arc, if a bit short at only 4 issues.

A local artist I follow, Alan Quah, posted a WIP teaser on his facebook. I messaged him about the piece and luckily, even though I hadn't purchased anything from him before, he remembered meeting me at a couple of conventions so we managed to strike a fair deal. Before I could receive the piece though, Alan contacted me to inform me that his editor requested a change from the original Lawgiver Mk.1 to the in-continuity Mk.2, which is why the one-off prints show the published 'Day' version with the Mk. 2 and an alternate 'Night' version with the Mk. 1

thanks ming - my biggest regret coming late to the party isn't the missed opportunities since my wallet probably wouldn't have been able to cope then (or now for the really good pieces), but browsing back into the thread a lot of the photo links have expired so i didn't get a chance to ogle over those

king carlos was a delight to work with - he agreed to color the piece he finished for me, so i shall wait until that is done to reveal it. the other ... turned into a multi-character piece which required me to dig up a personal record-breaking number of reference shots (over 350) for the artist, so 'extra special' may not be the right description? i think he had fun with it though? he's gone a bit silent this week so lets see what finally emerges

first post here after lurking for a bit - have been a member of the 2000AD art facebook group for a bit but for some reason it didn't occur to me until recently to join the 'mothership' forums

based in Singapore, so I can't pop by the nearest convention to pick up some pages, but this thread has been a wealth of information about members and dealers selling stuff so I hope to increase my hoard sooner rather than later - appreciate any tips of course! i have some decent commissions coming in, but there's another thread for that ...

Hi, I recently joined the boards and have been lurking on some of the art threads getting the lay of the land before i posted. Might I be upgraded as well please
