In case you are unaware, there is currently a kickstarter running for a board/card game based on four of the Fighting Fantasy books

Gigantic fleets of Star Destroyers don't seem to make much sense given the state of the First Order and Empire but the economics of Star Wars never stood up to much scrutiny.

Judging by the way the ships are all lined up, it may just be a junkyard, or at best a mothballed reserve fleet.

There is an option on netflix to cancel the autoplay of the next episode, but it doesn't stop the minimising of the picture or the playing of trailers.

Dragging this back on topic, the first story was also based on a short story by one of the Hamiltons.

Failed to finish the third one so do not know if that trend continued.

I did see one report from a reputable news source that felt the need to point out, in both in the headline and the  main text, that it is an unmanned probe.

I finished the Expanse today not even realising it was.the last episode. I do hope they renew it, as they can't end it like that!*

*Okay, they can, as Dark Skies and various other programmes illustrate. But they shouldn't....

You can rest easy, they released a trailer for season 2 (of the Expanse not Dark skies) a week ago.

I would have thought if it is that close to you then it's too late to run.

Shark did you even read the article you linked to? Nowhere did it suggest an EU army, the only shared resources mentioned were transport aircraft. The 2% spend on defence is the NATO standard. The EU defence procurement cooperation already exists.

And anyway until the UK finally leaves the British government would still have a veto in Europe, so how the hell could troops be ordered into the UK.

Seeing as it is on HBO I presume the American version. Anyway it never went away, TG4 showed it recently over here, as gaeilge, but that just adds to the fun. It didn't look in need of updating.

It says a lot about the show that the phrase "at least they died quickly" almost qualifies as a happy ending for a character.

I can't even begin on the ridiculousness of complaints about Rey...

No one complained about Luke and she's not got more skills than him...

Really how many hands has she lost?

Still ridiculous though.

70 days of no Irish government (all on full pay), and our resulting new cabinet is the most depressing thing I've ever seen. Political cronyism and personal advantage, principles traded for fat pensions and a government that won't last a year. And almost time for their summer hols!

I may be fightin' with Legendary Shark Block soon enough.

To be fair TB they have to last at least 2 years to get the fat pension.

What is the point of a laser crossbow anyway? Can't see it adds anything over a laser rifle.

If anything it's just more awkward.

laser + object = AWESOME

I defy you to find anything that lasers don't make more awesome. ;)

Alderaan?

I'll get my coat.

Yes sorry, to explain. I tried to see that site and that was the error message displayed by the site. it turns out it is the only site on the planet that my graphics card cannot handle and it's my fault.

But I take your word for it being a very good site - not complaining about you.
