I liked the first series, but it's really not too funny. More nice than hilarious.

My wife did spot Simon Day in a local Tesco last year and got his autograph for me, as I'm a huge fan of The Fast Show and Swiss Toni. That is my sole anecdote.

Rhys Thomas and Tony Way did a podcast for a while too, which is hilarious and definitely worth listening to.

The Magic Crystal (1986)

Cynthia Rothrock!  Nice.
I've been on a bit of a Rothrock kick recently, starting with "No Retreat, No Surrender 2" and moving on to the "Tiger Claws" films (surely some of the worst movies in history). I really ought to give the "China O'Brien" movies a bash at some point.

Welcome, Mortimer.  Did you and Randolph ever agree on that nature-vs-nurture business?
It was nurture. I hope that's what my namesake was arguing for!

The name is from US sketch comedy show "Mr. Show", starring Breaking Bad's own Bob Odenkirk, back in the 90s. I discovered recently that someone using the same name as me has been a bad lad on some computer game sites, or something (not me, honest).

Creative Common / Film Reviews

I hope this is the right place. Anyway, a few friends and I do a film review site. I enjoy writing, trying to puzzle out why a film is good or sucks (usually, why it sucks), and while we all do it for fun, might as well try and get a few eyeballs on our stuff.

The Magic Crystal (1986)

One of the more bonkers Hong Kong martial-arts-heist-sci-fi-comedy-spy-thriller-kung-fu-farce films you're likely to see this month. Seriously, it's absolutely bonkers, and is available in its entirety on Youtube.

Ooh, splendid. If they've not already gone, then 178, 213, and the first two Megazines you listed would be lovely. I really have no idea how much some people value their old comics at, so name your price.

I know it's probably the least rare of the comic's run, but if anyone needs them and has multiples of anything before 250 or after 950 or so, give me a holler and let's do some trading. Or, if you want them all, make me an offer (and deal with a courier, because damn if I have to mess with Hermes again, I'm going to go on a rampage).

Hello! I started reading in 1985, continued for 8 years or so, then I recently saw the "Dredd" film and decided to read a few again - of course, they're so damned amazing that I then started collecting.

I look forward to wasting a chunk of my life on here!
