Eldritch

Wow! A lot of those covers are fantastic.

Oddboy

Seeing as how I've been outbid (my highest bid being ?49.99 - a lot higher than I'd sensibly be prepared to pay), I might as well tell you guys about this one:

Complete run of Star Lord.

Bloody hell - I only paid a tenner for the entire run!

Marbles

Its my experience that if you can physically go to Marts then prices generally are a heck of a lot lower than on ebay..
Remember - dry hair is for squids

.... No. The nostalgia factor is just too great to part with them. I did it once, never again.

Buddy

Some time ago I picked up a complete Starlord run plus a summer special on ebay for about 10 quid.

Is there now an interest building in Starlord?

Have to say I didn't know about the different stickers for issue one. Nice..

I'm now looking for a run of Tronado comics. Any suggestions anyone?

Well, I bought Starlord (complete run, mint condition, with gifts) from eBay for about ?12 this time last year.

I then sold - about a week later, and also on eBay - my old Starlord #1 through #3, for ?30, despite advertising them (honestly) as having no free gifts, battered spines and loose pages.

I think eBay prices for Starlord may well be largely random - sometimes dirt cheap and other times silly money.

BLIMEY - THAT ?205 BID IS A BIT MUCH THOUGH

(excuse the shouting - I was startled...)

Hi, Now it's closed, I just thought I would let you know that it was my auction for the Starlord Comics on ebay. They truely are in mint condition, no yellowing, creases etc. I bought them recently from a dealer in the US. They had never been distributed and are in as good a condition as if you were buying them in '78. They are just too good for what I wanted them for, which was to read, enjoy and relive when I had them from the first time around all those years ago.

Why am I not surprised it was your auction all along? It was your first post on the board. The question is, are you going to stick around or will you just vanish now the auction is over?

I'll probably stick around, though it's a long time since I read 2000ad. The first issue I got was number 2. It was my first post but funnily enough I only just found the place anyway. Have the StarLord comics inspired me to look for 2000ad on the web and this site is very comprehensive and it's great to see some of those early issues I had as a kid

Oddboy

2000AD's been on a very high standard this year, the quality has been rises steadily since Rebellion took over & since the mid-nineties were over.  Certainly worth getting into it again, although you might as well wait till the week after next for Prog 1313 which will have a fresh lineup.

Either way, GET THE JUDGE DREDD MEGAZINE it's brilliant.

Thanks for your suggestion. I shall try to get hold of a copy. In fact I might even subscribe
