Off Topic / Lessons from kids TV shows

Watching a glut of kids DVDs and TV with my near 5-year old, I have learned that:

No matter how may train crashes there are or the devastation caused, 'luckily no one was hurt'.

Incompetent, bumbling postmen are unsackable, despite losing/finding/breaking/fixing your daily mail and involving the entire village.

Thanks to a certain little explorer girl, my son knows more Spanish than he does English, and only last week kept jumping in front of an automatic door shouting 'Abrir!'

If you were a stoner, 'Waybuloo' would be awesome ...

Loved Happiness - but it's absoultely nuts. A father drugging his whole family so he can rape his young son's best friend, a female writer wishing she had been raped to get into a character's mindset - fucked-up. People were walking out of the cinema when I saw it. To this day my missus has only seen the first half; she refuses to sit through it all.

And re-reading the above I guess I don't blame her

First a 'serious' Flash Gordon remake and now this - my inner child is screaming:

Paul W.S. Anderson ("Event Horizon," "Resident Evil") has signed on to direct a new 3D adaptation of sci-fi hero "Buck Rogers" reports Deadline New York.

As much as I enjoyed 300 and look forward to watching Spartacus, hopefully the Rome movie they're currently adapting won't go the 300 route.

I mentioned a Nemesis the Warlock film before - add in your ABC's and you've got a crossover ala Iron Man & Avengers, right there.

The last 3D film I saw was Ice Pirates, in 1984. Horrible experience. Don't think I've seen it since ...

I've found that the older I get the more extreme my musical taste has become. Mrs. Goatilocks enjoys 70's hard rock, and shakes her head whenever I put on Immolation, Abscess or Vomitory to name but a few ...

A 42 year-old Swedish dishwasher named Roger Tullgren was determined by psychologists to be addicted to heavy metal, and thus, given permission to listen to loud music at work, and also, disability.

I loved this story - "My leg - you're leaning on my leg!" - and yes, Ezquerra can draw sexy women. In tight latex catsuits. With guns.
