Prog / Prog 1838 lone shark
22 June, 2013, 12:47:57 PM
Sinister dexter on the cover by John Charles who is maybe a new droid or certainly new to me reminds me a wee bit of cliff Robinson, a fairly standard funny with gun pose.

Dredd continues nicely with as ever with Wagner more than meets the eye going on. Lovely Dave Taylor art very European really suited to dredd.
Terror tale by the boards own monty Nero especially liked a couple of panels on the last page reminded me of John m burns
Cadet Anderson is plodding along nicely nothing spectacular but always nice to have Carlos in the prog.
Not a huge Defoe fan but it always looks good there are some weird whyndam style eyeball monsters this week that look a bit out of place.
Sinister dexter never been a fan of this but will read anything with burns artwork some lovely panels even if I have no real idea what's happening which is more down to my apathy with the strip.

Next prog high hopes for ten seconders as Edmund bagwell is on art duties.

My Grimm Brother and I have been plodding along with this between other things, Matt does a great job of making me look good. Though we could really do with a letterer no cash only glory I'm afraid.

Hello All

I've just put up the first page of a new strip that's a sort of sequel to a strip some of you have read " Last Night a Monster Saved My Life" that I did a few years ago. It's sci fi in a more Ballard mould than Star Trek.
It can be seen on my blog comments and gentle barb's most welcome.

Books & Comics / KID TIGER!
27 February, 2011, 05:06:59 PM
Hello all, family things have meant I've been quiet on the drawing front of late, recently though I've started an almost weekly strip on my blog. Still toying with the format and colour but it's basically my take on the traditional British comic staple of the boy hero dressed as a cat. It kind of starts mid story before flashing back. Overall it's about growing up and finding your way in the world and features a despicable geriatric Teddy boy villain. Have a look and let me know what you think as it's very much a learning curve for me.

Prog / Prog 1704 Spirited Away!
25 September, 2010, 12:52:57 PM
Defoe on a nicely designed Leigh Gallagher cover, no time to read more then Dredd and Lowlife as I need to get to work. Should warn the more prudish among you, Dirty Frank is naked this issue and an impressive and capacious weapon is on display.

Prog / Prog 1703 Cry Wolf!
18 September, 2010, 01:09:11 PM
Was beginning to think I'd be progless today, but postie didn't let me down

Everything ticks along rather nicely Dredd and Lowlife are my favourites not sure about Age of the Wolf yet but it certainly looks really nice. Nerve centre has an ad for the return of Kingdom which is a good thing in my book.

Sorry guys this is probably really basic and staring me in the face but how can I use files I already have on my Mac in Manga studio, I have JPEG'S of pencils but MS will not let me select them what is the best way if any to convert them. I'm working from Debut4 if that makes any difference I can scan files okay but older files cannot be clicked on. I figured one of the mighty tech heads could show me the way, pretty please!

Welcome to the board / Erm Hello!
21 July, 2009, 11:42:02 AM
Hello my name is James,I'm new here well to be honest I've watched from afar for a bit just plucked up the courage to join. When not bogged down in the world of retail I like many of you like to doodle and make up stories, I've been a long term 2000ad and Meg reader from around prog 500 with a brief lapse around the whole vector 13 phase.I do vaguely remember the launch of 2000 only to be told it was for big boys, other than sneaking a look over my brothers shoulder from time to time I didn't really get bitten by the bug till Bad Company  where I had a huge art crush on Brett Ewins and can remember detention for drawing Kano in an English jotter.Anyway Hello and hope to post soon thanks for having me
