Strontium Dog concept art

I've just uploaded some images Carlos sent me which were concept art done in 1998 for the proposed Strontium Dog TV pilot. John Wagner wrote a story synopsis which later became The Kreeler Conspiracy.

Very nice. The progession from 'normal' eyes to the ol' 'alpha ray emission' look is a bit strange though. He could pass for a norm!

The 'Alpha eyes' would be a bit of a bugger to do for TV... either have to you lead actor in eye-watering contact lenses all the time or paint them out in every shot with cgi

Those are great, I was really disappointed that it didn't get onto TV.

Interesting to see a slightly more stylised version of Alpha as well.

I find myself taking Carlos' current strip art a wee bit for granted. Every now and again, we need something leftfield like this to remind us just how unimaginably good he really is. Wow.
