Dear sweet Grud, please please please don't let this be a spoof.  3D glasses, a record and more porno-comics!  Outstanding!

It does sound fantastic. Alan Moore seems to be going all out on it.

Has got me wondering on how much it's going to cost, though.

I think it's very much genuine. Most of that extra gubbins has been mooted pretty much since The Black Dossier was first announced, and usually by Alan himself, but it's been some time (a good year at least) since there was anything more officially confirmed. Last I heard, for instance, the record had been long since abandoned.

So it's great to hear from the bearded one himself that's it all still planned and imminent. Also thrilled to hear it's morphed slightly into a sort of 'source book' detailing the entire history of the League.

Safe to say I can't bloody wait.

Aye, but it sounded (and still sounds) too good to be true, one of those madly over-ambitious Moore projects that never quite get to the shelves.  I dread to even think about the cost of something like this, but it must be mine.

Well I'm going to be holding out for the Absolute version, to go with volumes I and II. My wallet is already in tears. :-)

Will we get a 12 inch single instead of a 45 with the absolute edition? ; )

Since it's not even out till October, I think you could have enough saved.

Spoof Shakespeare?  Spoof Orwell?  Spoof Beat novel?

This sounds like it may well be shit.

I don't think "spoof" is entirely fair - if I remember the times Moore has adopted another writer's voice before, he has normally played it very straight & really tried to make it sound like something that could have been written by them.

Dudley - I think you meant to say 'This sounds like it may well be the shit!' :-)

Sounds fuckin' brilliant to me. Can't wait to see O'Neill's art on the Orwell Porn.

LITG Report that Black Dossier will not be available outside US (with Titan not even being allowed to reprint it in UK) due to copyright problems....

Link: Buy it if you see it, and buy one more to sell on.

I foresee a roaring trade in overpriced american editions on ebay.

There must be some way they can get around this. They're doing themselves out of a lucrative market here. Can't they change some of the names or something?
Also, I'm sure it could be argued that some of the content in League is satirical. Aren't the rules different for satirical usage?

That all sounds class!!!

I'll have to get one of my American agents to send me over a copy (or three!!)

I'll have to big out my record player to listen to the single though, I wonder if it'll be available for downloading??

Is this the last of XLG we're going to get, sounds like a final offering.

No, this was supposed to be the final League installment for DC before Moore & O'Neill moved to Top Shelf with Volume 3 onward. As with a lot of Moore's grand plans, though, that may well change & this could indeed be the last we see of the League for a while.

I don't suspect it will be that much of a problem getting a copy, Lost Girls is readily available on ebay and that can't be sold until next year in Europe.

Vol. 3 wil be out next year or so from Top Shelf and since it's the sole comic that Moore is actually writing these days, to keep himself and Kevin in work and pay, he probably has it written all ready. It's really depends on how long Kevin takes to draw it.
