Yeah, but Armand Assante was pretty good in a hammy 'classic shakespearian actor' kinda way... shame the script was cliche-ridden and a complete redux (more or less) of the superior Demolition Man...

I think we can count on him at least not to sound like a thug whose brain cells were all killed off as a child by the beatings his daddy doled out on a daily basis... so a guaranteed improvement over the Stallone movie, then.

Blimey!  that quote goes back a long way...and we're still in deep discussion about it now.

When reading the comics I always conveniently blocked out the fact that Dredd is meant to be an American. That was until the Sly movie came along and drove it home good and proper.
