Anyone exhibiting this year?
Anyone cosplaying this year?
Anyone just doing the attending this year?
I will be there with some Judge-Tutor Semple Reviews booklets. Probably cosplaying as The Monk General from my short stories. But couldn't afford a table as neither of my mates wanted to go. So just attending, probably in a costume with booklets to giveaway.
A lot of exhibitors are still on the "waiting list" I think - I've applied but who knows - hopefully!
Ah yeah... forgot that'd be the case.
I was thinking of making an IC cart (for my Rift Short Stories) for this one n pushing it around outside... with wares in it... But not got organised enough to find all the parts yet. Not told my mate that I'd want him to be wheeling it around either LOL.
I'll be dithering about this year, pressumably to shy to talk to anyone.
I'll have pint money...
Yeah I'm toing and froing about this one at the moment. Thought Bubble is a fantastic event but I'm thinking I might try to cash in some browny points and get to the Great Lakes instead. Trying for both might be pushing my luck but having TB as my back up plan is a great position to be in.
I should be there. Fingers crossed I'll try and make the full weekend.
I'm there for the weekend and I may bring Sam on one of the days, so Caz can enjoy some shopping without him. I may leave him with Pete ;)
I'm planning to head down again this year. I won't have a table this time but I'm hoping I can get in the portfolio review queues.
Planning to go 'cos the parties are always great. :)

You may leave Pete with Sam...
I think people have started hearing back about tables - and if this is the case it looks like this is the first time since 2011 I won't be selling there :'(
TB my favourite event, will be bring the kids along now they're a bit older.
I really really really x lots want to go this. I hope team glasvegas will be up for it and yass alex :D how you gettig down? Itd be good fun to organise another big scots invasion :D x x x

Yep - it's official no Journal at TB this year. Terrible shame! :'(
Ah, that's a shocker. I've got one so maybe I'll return the favour for you selling Zarjaz at Lawgiver?
I'll be available for autographs of my interviews of John n Carlos ;)
Tickets are now live. Thats Saturday booked, see you chaps then! ;)
Weekend ticket bagged. Looking forward to getting more time to explore this year :)
Full weekend booked + party (just in case).
I fully expect a bloody good con and look forward to seeing what a fragile little flower CFM will be on the Sunday (if he's going)
Dunk!
I believe I will be in attendance over the weekend. Just looking at hotels now...
Chhers
Jim
Hotel was booked before my table was secured. Looking forward to a darn fine time.
Tickets turned up this morning. Enjoyed it last year but avoided the official party thing and ended up with a big gang in one of the hotel bars.... I forget which.
My ticket arrived today as well. As it's my first con I assume the first rounds on me. ::)
I'm thinking of being a member of the Court of Owls with a suit and the mask
I assume the bulk of the events, including the independent comic tables, will be hosted in the armouries?
It'll be dotted all over the area there... Three halls last year plus extra rooms in other buildings. One hallis in the Armouries and a theater in the Armouries is used too.
Quick heads up: the mid-Con party is now a strictly tickets only event for everyone. An exhibitor's pass won't get you through the doors anymore. Everyone has to buy a ticket via the website.
There on the Sat :)
All booked up!
I'll be there both days.
I'm helping a mate with his table most of the time. But on the Saturday I'll be taking a few hours off, to hopefully get dressed up. I'll be Boba Fett and my son will be Jango Fett.
Looking forward to it.
Does anyone know the trains from Leeds central to Manchester Victoria? I know the last few from Vic to Bolton but can't seem to find a listing for the former...
Both days for me too.
You and your boy will get loads of photo requests Minty :). Looking great on FB.

Just had a quick look and the last direct train to ManVic on Sunday 16th (stopping often on the way) is 19:51, getting in at 21:20 but there are plenty of later ones changing at Huddersfield that take similar or less time.
I am drooling over the guest list. There are about 15 current and previous droids I'm looking forward to getting signatures for my 30 years of thrill power. Plus, a stack of art bots for my sketch book.
This is my first time at Thought Bubble, so will need some helpful squaxx to take me under their wing.
Warning - Some Squaxx may bite... Some look very feral...
Is Judge Russell the guy who asked me to sign his book in Wetherspoons on Saturday?
You're in for a treat. Thought Bubble is great and 2000 ad usually have a big exhibitor space at the event.
That was me!! I'm also Jack Porter on Facebook. Jack is a nickname, cos I'm a bit of a dogFaced boy!
If you happen across a bloke in a hat calling Pete Wells a
cunt,
that'll probably be me. Or possibly his dad.

Thanks DDD. Leaving late on the saturday so gonna have to be an early evening train, which should still give me time for a quick Lancaster Bomber.
For once I've booked a hotel on the Saturday, which is a bit of an extravagance because I live in Leeds. It's simply to enjoy any forum meet ups later in the evening.
It's all a bit early for such posturing.
I'll be be there for schoolyard name calling and "scraps" pitted throughout the weekend.
I have a thermos full of booze and some scotch eggs to see me through.
Dunk!
The guest list is incredible... hmmm...
Considering heading down to this, what's wrong with me...?!
Are we any closer to a floor plan for the two days? Got a feeling with my sense of direction i'm gonna need it.
It's looking more and more likely I'll be coming to this - my first Thoughtbubble ever! Can anyone recomemnd a good (cheap) hotel near to the venue please?
What's everyone's thoughts on driving/parking versus bus/train? Is it easy to get to on public transport?
I really want to go to this as well. I know I looked into it last year , and I'm not thaaat far from you. It wasn't so much the cost , but the time it would have taken on the train , stops included.
There we are Judge Pal and strontium71 are gonna arrive in the Blues Mobile.
I'm coming up for one day of uniform fun and one of sketch collecting, depends what day the inevitable 2000 AD panel is on!

It's a 10-15 min walk from train station and there's a large multi-storey carpark at the venue.

It's about a 4 hour drive direct from Cardiff to Leeds. A detour to collect you wouldn't be that bad I suppose, another hour. I'm thinking of travelling up on Friday afternoon at the moment. Would that suit you?
Can anyone find the postcode of the event, so I can do some hotel searches please? I've gone through the site and can't bloody find it!
I found the postcode! LS10 1LE
Budget Ibis in LS9 still has some rooms available, if anyone is interested.

Plenty of decent pubs around the city centre from cheapo Wetherspoons to actual pubs.

About 8 minute walk from the Ibis.
The Ibis Budget is the place to be. The corridor we were on was about ninety percent comic folk last year!

I'll be at the budget ibis too!!!!
Can't wait for this.
Budget Ibis booked, time booked off work, Thoughtbubble weekend/party tickets bought! This' ll be my only con for the rest of the year, so it'll be one hell of a party!
On a more practical note, does anyone know of any good car parking spots by the Budget Ibis, LS9? Google is not very forthcoming tonight.
Last year we went up with some chaps in a car and they chose to park o'er the weekend in a big multistory within the armories complex - presumably that's the best bet although any other ideas I imagine would be gratefully received.
I think that must be the one just before you turn left and walk into the courtyard between the halls!

If that's FC in Leeds they're done it up since I was last in there...
Arrr yep :-[ looks like that's the Manchester one - sorry! That'd be a bit of a commute for a drink meet-up.
The person wot used to run FC Leeds came down to Bristol to run a cider bar but it didn't work out and they swiftly returned from whence they came. Apparently working conditions were better in Leeds which I fully suspect is true.
The Manchester one is the first FC I ever went in and, despite me still loving the Leeds branch, is much better maintained.
Fab would be OK probably.

Yay! Drinking buddies! I was worried id be stuck in the ibis by myself!
Finally got my ticket for the weekend :D
OK so is FAB Cafe OK for those that are up for a pre-Con get together or would you prefer something nearer Ibis?
I'm happy to supply directions to an appropriate pub. Any are fine by me being a local. Fab is centrally located so not near Ibis.
I'm happy to do a FB Group thing if it is considered useful...
I'd prefer closer to Ibis personally, although the venue doesn't massively bother me. It's the people that make a good night out! And lots of beer of course.
OK I shall think of a good one nearer. Princess is very close...
In a moment of blinding clarity, now booked up. Weekend ticket & Ibis.
:)
A pedant writes..... (that's me)
The weekend ticket has a mistake, the wee tear-off slip states Sat/Sun 19th/20th
even though the main portion is correct (15th/16th). Probable they're all wrong...
and it matters not.
Ain't I a stinker.
Well having fumbled the ball on Great Lakes Comic Festival I've at least been able to console myself by getting a day pass to this agreed and so will be up on the Saturday and around for the start of the evening at least. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible there.

Anyone know if these are ticketed or is it queue up and squeeze in?
Usually queue up - I can't see them changing the way they do it.
Queues sometimes start early, but not always. I tend to check 15 minutes before.
As for squeezing in... Events in the Bury Theatre are seating 186 seats. There are extra seats on the balcony but I can't recall them ever opening the balcony. Usually there are less than 186 wanting in so not usually an issue.
However if I really want in I queue. Often a few nice strangers to chat with while one queues. I've even let folk join me in a queue impromptu if I already know them. I queued behind Tom Foster last year at the Portfolio judging & he won so artists can queue near me for luck if they want ;)

Cheers Bat King, Saturday it is then. See you in the queue.
I need to work out a queue, sketch strategy. I had a bit of a poor TB last year, I queued for over an hour for Brandon Graham but didn't come sway with any orig art or a sketch.
Unfortunately, due to very pressing financial issues (just bought a house that needs a new boiler) I'm no longer going to be able to attend Thoughtbubble.
I have just cancelled my booking at the Ibis Budget (2 THE GATEWAY NORTH, CROWN POINT ROAD, LEEDS, LS9 8BZ), so if you're quick you could nab the room now!
Also, I have a weekend pass for sale - I think it cost £24. they're all sold out on the Thoughtbubble site it seems. It is yours for £15. If anyone wants it, PM me.
Ticket has gone!! Bloody hell, that was quick!!
Just saw this - gutted you'll not be there SM you are a good conbuddy :(:(:(
supplementarily give me a shout if you ever fancy a night down bristolway I'd be happy to host it! :D
Cheers mate! If I'm in your area I'll get in touch.
It is thoroughly annoying, but a £2500 bill for a boiler and fuse board has put the dampeners on any event until about May next year.
That said, anytime you're in Cardiff, pop round for a cup of tea, albeit without milk or sugar. Or tea.
Ah, that's a real shame SM...
Damn SM, really sorry to hear that. Out of curiosity is your room for the friday? If so i'll nab it.
I had booked the Friday and Saturday, so both nights will probably be relisted on Laterooms.com now.
Booked my ticket for Saturday.
I's also like to invite any forum members to the third Bhuna and Archie Mcc's Annual Thought Bubble Saturday Afternoon Beer-Fest. All welcome (as long as you buy us both a bevvy! ;) )

I'm currently wavering, in which case a room may become available for the Saturday night.
I'll keep you posted...
Uncle Fester and I will be there from Friday all the way through til Tuesday.... We're going to be soooo broken by Tuesday morning. Just so you know where to find us:
Friday evening: there's a pre-con piss-up featuring live (good) music and general comic art shenanigans. Free to get in and they say the booze will be cheap: http://raygunroads.com/w/ (http://raygunroads.com/w/) (apologies for the annoying TV flicker event on that website)
ThoughtBubble: we'll have a Disconnected Press table in the Royal Armouries Hall. We've been upgraded (not bumped) from the big hall into the little one where the panels are held. Our table is in the centre of the hall close to Dr Geof and His Remarkable Tea Museum (ie the steampunk people).
Very excited as we'll be launching our newest anthology: CROSS. It's a book full of politics, but don't let that put you off. It's also FUNNY, well written and beautifully drawn and features some proper droids (Rob Williams, PJ Holden, Ben Willsher, Dave Baillie, Nick Dyer, Emma Beeby, Tom Eglington, Tom Foster) as well as the Forum's very own Richmond Clements! If you can't wait til ThoughtBubble, you can preorder your copy at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/657603937/cross-a-political-satire-anthology (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/657603937/cross-a-political-satire-anthology)
I absolutely plan to head over to the Drinking Party on Saturday afternoon; I just need to think of a decent excuse!
Sunday: for those who are still around afterwards, there will probably be some informal and exhausted food 'n' drink related activities. And for anyone still in Leeds on Monday night, I'm speaking at Laydeez Do Comics.
Come and say hello!

My reviews booklet will be worked on this week. If I have reviewed you and you will be there please give me a nudge. Let me know whose table you are on including hall n number and I will ensure readers know where to find you.
That said I have no table this year so will maybe have distribution issues (no idea how many I will have printed yet either...)

Really looking forward to this gig, though it's gonna be a very long day for FQP.
Like Megabus, I'll also be sketching all weekend- especially if you buy a comic or two from me!
Stop by Table 24 in the New Dock Hall and say Hi!
Not sure, seems to be just on the route for any panels in Royal Armouries Hall, hopefully it won't be too crowded for people to have a picture taken with young Sidney.
Yep, same place.
I think Andy Diggle is on the same row.
Y'know, I 'almost' regret insisting on being in New Dock this year.
Mind you- I'm nervous for the good folks in the Teepee...

Yeah that's a cool spot for PR I think. Lots of panel traffic.
Might pull in more punters to the Armouries Hall too.
REMEMBER to visit ALL three Halls...
OK my Reviews Booklet is done... but my printer isn't working. My son is going to look at it tomorrow while I am at work to see if he can get it running (power cable issue).
I've uploaded it to my Blog and anyone is free to download it & print a copy if they want. If I get a chance tomorrow I will create a Pdf that should be compatible with Kindle and Android phones (I assume it'll be ok on iOs products but I don'y have any so won't be able to check it).
If anyone I've reviewed feels like printing a copy or two go for it! I'd be really happy :)

Myself and His Lordship RAC will be making the trip over bright and early Sat AM- then the 'con can begin :)
The party truly starts with the arrival of the FutureQuakers and their comic oats.
Dunk!

Also just checked in. The 'Palace' place? Describe your judge outfit so that I may recognise you :)
I'm Wally squad tonight, so just as you walk in you will see a weirdo with a two week old moustache sitting in a booth, with a black Dredd t shirt on, typing furiously on his iPad. Come say hello.
Last minute decision, just bought a ticket for Saturday. Yay
are there any firm plans for a boozy board meet up on Saturday evening? I'm torn at the moment as I'm double-booked: I can't decide whether to stay in Leeds or shoot back to the 'right' side of the Pennines for another event.
Well my train back to Piccadilly departs at 9:40 so I certainly have a chance to get one or two pints.
BTW do we have a mugs gallery thread so I can tell a lot of those attending apart?
I'm leaving this sports bar beside the ibis budget. Getting a bit rowdy. There is a reunion for holiday reps, and they're all pished.
I'm going to the Hilton Doubletrees.

A bit old, but you should find some of the attendees on here: http://forums.2000adonline.com/index.php/topic,28177.0.html (http://forums.2000adonline.com/index.php/topic,28177.0.html)
Well, I'm still here, so I'm going to take a meander to the Doubletrees myself, I reckon...
Cheers
Jim
Thanks Dan, can't post a picture of myself tonight as i'm on my Ipad but ipif you look for a lanky kid with curly ginger hair wearing jeans and a 30 Seconds to Mars T-shirt with a satchel then that'll probably be me. ::)
Heading home from work at the moment.
Not sure if coming back in to town tonight for a couple or having a couple Saturday afterwards.
Saturday I would have a 18:45 ish curfew. Tonight a 23:00 one. Doubt I will do both.
Decisions, decisions...
I finally found the Hilton Doubletree. It's not the sky lounge, it's the one on the ground floor, round to the left. I'm at a table, just as you walk in. To the right. See you soon.

A reasonable likeness of me. Might be wearing that t-shirt tomorrow.
Moved to the back corner. Slowly lurking my way to the talent, lol.
You don't mean 'talent' as in 'Comic Creators' do you...
Aye.
You on your way?
It may be easier for people to add me to Facebook. I'm Jack Porter.

Well will be there fairly early tomorrow morning, about 10ish but will alas have to leave about 8.45 to get me train back to Sheff. Still hope to catch up with a bunch of you fine folk.
Fanncy meeting at one of the tables Colin?
Well the 2000ad one is always a safe bet!
Sure. Wanted to grab a few things so i'll head their first thing.
Heading in to Leeds now. Gonna be around 40 minutes to centre. I will check where folk are when I am almost there.
This Sunday i shall be wearing a charming misfits: mommy can i go out and kill tonight t-shirt. a delightful black suit jacket complimented by a Judge Death badge, and a blue batman bag,say hello
My bloomin' phone died... so I had to call it quits. If I drink without a time piece I drink too much. I drink too much when I do,,, worse when I don't lol.
The Nordland 2000AD Birthday Party saw m,e n my son trying to drink Wetherspoons in Leeds Train Station out of Guinness...
Just got into the hotel - said it'd be a late arrival :o
Man it's foggy up here in Leeds - !
Phew - just had a panic attack cos I couldn't find any trace that I'd actually got a ticket, and really thought I may have forgotten to book - had to do an advanced search on my entire e-mail folder* with keyword LEEDS before I found it.
See yaz all tomorrow!
* my e-mail folder is with TalkTalk.com, which has the shittiest e-mail service I've ever come across - the search took about five minutes with NO indication if it had stopped ort was still searching (bloodyISPsmuttergrumble)
Leeds is ready for you all!
Well I never, that was the worst car journey in a long time. The amount of roadworks on the M1 was rather stupendous. No sooner did we emerge from one set, when we entered another.
Anyway found the hotel in the fog and now relaxing. See you all tomorrow
Currently waiting at Manchester Oxford Road. Train to Leeds arrives at 08:06 and arrives an hour later so i'll be at the 2000AD table as soon as the doors open.
Anyone that doesn't know me I am wearing light coloured trousers & a Lawgiver T-shirt with the name Semple in red on my badge. Please say 'hi'.
Pdf of my Reviews Booklet. Works in Kindle & Android devices. Can't test iOs devices but it should display ok https://judgetutorsemple.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/reviews-2014.pdf
On my way now :D
Delayed, delayed, running late, delayed.
Oh the best laid plans of mice n' Dunks...
Dunk!
First things first getting to Glasgow for tonight's Bob Mould gig and then up early tomorrow morning to get the train to Leeds. Really looking forward to this now. Will probably be wearing my Peech Trees t-shirt.
Hangover has kicked in.......ouch!
Im at the 2000AD table right now. Just nabbed the two new Dante trades.
Have fun folks. Have been so busy I can't even for a second entertain the idea of going to something like this.
Well i'm now skint! Haveing some dinner in Pizza express right now and i'll go and watch Future Shock in a bit.
Guys, sounds like you're going to have a blast.
For my sins I've not made it to a convention, will have to try to sort something one day. Is it the sort of thing lil ones can go to? (they are probably a bit young now- 1 and 3, but maybe in a few years)
Enjoy everyone! :D
My 11 year old enjoyed it today, although he lacked stamina.
Just waiting for the train back home now after a fantastic day. The highlight surely being the greatest Dredd costume every, a picture of which I hope to regale you all with in the morning. Lots of great forum folk and Future Shocked as good as I'd dared hope.
Superb day, great laughs with everyone and have loads of pics of the wonderful Planet Replicas stuff, mostly of me holding them, especially all 4 McMahons.
Pete has blown everyone away with his Dredd sequel uniform, colour me interested!
Off to meet everyone in the watering hole now, left family in the hotel, I'm terrible sometimes.
Also heard there was a battle of the 2000 AD Goliaths. Fisticuffs at dawn......
Just waiting for my train and what a lovely day that was. Great to finally meet so many forumites at last, highlight once again being Pete Well's costume. Loved all the little dtpetails such as the barcode.

Why, yes, because a fat, belligerent idiot taking an online grievance into the real world by attempting to intimidate people going about their legitimate business before
actually laying hands on someone over a dispute over online behaviour is
clearly a matter suitable for a jolly quip.
Your priorities, sir, are fucked up beyond belief.
Jim
Dear me, you must've been there to witness who laid hands on who first!

The battle of two 2000ad goliaths.

Bolland couldn't do it as well as Pete Wells and Dandontdare.
You had to be there to know quite how brilliant Pete's Dredd custom was, but thanks to a plastic chicken "I am the LAW" will never have the same resonance...
Now with actual photo...
Only warning - play nice or I hand out automatic bans.
Pete's uniform was even more hilarious when he said the immortal line "I am the Law" as he pressed his eagle, which squawked "Law" To top it all off, on top of his lid he kept the bar code. Truly inspired
Pete does get points deducted for having his knee pads and elbow pads being different colours.
Great to meet more Forumites this weekend.
One of my highlights was Douglas Wolk recognising me & taking the trouble to introduce himself. Was really nice chatting with him.

Yeah, same here too (including Bat).
On train home now, picked up some lovely swag and travelling light was a good plan. Decided against more books on Sunday, pragmatism kicked in (...bloody pragmatism). 4 talks/panels, highlight probably the 2000ad portfolio judging today. 5 droids commenting on the entries really fascinating. Worthy winner :)

Personally, I would be
extremely surprised to find that anybody other than a certain well known Fathead had started it.
I've been to Thought Bubble about five times, and this was the best one for me!
I only spent a short time in costume (which was with my son for about an hour) which meant I actually got a chance to talk to people, which was brilliant.
Pete Wells wins Thought Bubble, for reminding me about everything I like about 2000 AD and the people I've met reading it. He's a beacon and a guiding light.
I second that! Pete always puts a smile on my face; his enthusiasm is brilliant.
I spent most of my time wandering around either talking to people or trying to find the people I wanted to talk to. Some comic creators did think my request for them to sign my reviews booklet was a bit odd. Dave Taylor though told me about a much odder request and thought mine was perfectly fine... As well as recognised by Douglas Wolk a few creators remembered me from my Reviews Book last year.
Made a few connections with publishers I haven't yet reviewed - yeah that did mean buying product. But at least they now know who I am - they'll forget until I e-mail them to tell them I have reviewed something of course. So really not 'connections' yet but you know what I mean.
And just to re-iterate; really great to meet Forumites for the first time. I love this hobby/interest and really like talking to folk about it.
I'll be doing a bigger write up of my experience on mi blog - but most of it is on here at least in brief :)
Just got in - had a great time.
Another vote for Judge Jimp as the highlight of the con, but was great to catch up with people, although being on a table I get a new appreciation for how difficult it is to get time to speak to people, at least during the non-drinking bits...
I've posted a few pics of the strontium dog props in the sd thread, but I'll post the other pics here once I've had a chance to go through them tomorrow...
Wells won the con - !
Gutted that I missed Hawk both times he came by my table on Saturday - sorry sir! :(
Ah don't worry about is Foxy you where a busy man! It was lovely to talk to your missus though and she was very insightful into the production of the Journel. Maybe next year we can finaly get introduced.
Other highlights for me where being the first to talk to both Simon Davis and Rob Williams. I have to say I was a little shy to talk to Simon at first, being the sad fan boy I am, but damned if he isn't just one of the nicest blokes. Rob was a joy to talk to as I basicly gushed about how much I loved The Royals, Ordinary, and Low Life. Great man, got him to sign my copy of The Royals.
Peter Doherty did a comission for me as well and we had a chat about his art in Death and his Ratfink story. I'll post pictures of the comission later as well as the sketch cards by Davis and our own Megabus I now own. Lovely day all round and a joy to watch Future Shock with Dan, Colin and Bat King. What a great documentary.
Well I really enjoyed that.
D(r)unk!
Sorry about the size...

The size of the picture or of Pete ;)
Had a great time, met a few boarders for the first time as well as the usual suspects. The Planet replicas SD stuff and the McMahon sculpt all looked incredible, the Future Shocks doc was well worth the wait. Shame I missed saying hi to Owen (the absentee stallholder!) and Jim Campbell. I'll post (crappy phone) pics tonight

Well she would be as she co-edits it ;)
Sounds like you had a lark - and actually I did see you but I was rushing past and shouted "Hawkmonger" but I think you weren't used to hearing your forumname! :D
It was my first con in a long time and I'm really glad I went.
Brilliant to catch up with everyone again. As always there were too many highlights to list them all. The FQ Christmas night out was spectacular thanks to the trusty navigation skills of 'seven minutes' Kerrin.
Just arrived back in Inverness and am having a recovery pint before heading home. Then I shall sleep.
Here's Strontium Boo. Thanks to Gemma and Boo for the pic.

That there Westinghouse is a thing of beauty, and no mistake.
I'm finally starting to think straight after not enough sleep and too much work to do here, but TB was so much fun I can't wait for next year.
Great to see so many folks again and a few for the first time too: Hawk, Douglas, Fungus & Dodsy I'm talking about you.
The grand spectacle of the FQP christmas party was a wonder to behold and has seen the birth of a new club- the 'Five Plate Gang'- you know who you are!
Thought Bubble is IMO the finest comic convention running in the UK. Everyone is equal- creators of the biggest mainstream US titles sitting next to small press next to shops and all under the watchful eyes of the astounding red-shirts.
Highlights for me include the amazing river under the city, meeting Douglas Wolk and witnessing the astounding masculinity of Judge Jimp.
Roll on next year!
I'm still gawking. Five plates! I barely managed three. Including dessert!
And I think I remember hearing that Foxy! But I assumed it was my imagination!!!
I missed Douglas, I was trying to find him and while he was doing that he visited the Planet Replicas table where I was based...
I saw him wander up and have a chat ::)
Seeing the Westinghouse in someone's hands like Mr Strontium Boo it looks even more amazing. And that's just the prototype cast!
(apologies for the crappy quality)

I would just like to thank Alec Worley for signing my copy of Age of the Wolf. I wasn't able to attend in person but my lad asked him to sign it for me. Many thanks Alec.

The quality of the costumes in the Dredd/Anderson/Sadu pic is simply incredible, especially as the Hondo costume is homemade (not that you could tell). Every time I see the state of 2000AD/Dredd cosplay it seems to have gone up another notch. Well done to everyone. And Pete.

Only went on the sunday so sadly missed out on a surprise appearance by Henry Flint and Wells's costume . Met Dave Taylor, Chris Weston ( I bought a sensitive klegg page he had abandoned due to some mistake) Pete Doherty , got a really cool Judge Death painting off him , met Declan Shalvey. And met Jock and Jason Edminston and got their print. Nice to see the con had got bigger, and met some canny people over the day, some may have been boarders I haven't a clue. Wish I had brought more stuff to get signed as saw Tim Sale and Eric Powell sat by themselves when I had presumed the ques would have been massive.

Outstanding acting and cinematography. Better than many fan films.
No pies or pasties were harmed during the filming of that there movie.
I dunno. All that jimping around is surely bringing the KTT into disrepute.
Pete Wells' interpretation of the Judges' Uniform is one of the boldest this Squaxx has ever seen. Put your brushes away Siku, forget your Flared Helmets McCarthy and your Big Boots McMahaon. Wells knows where it's at.
It's almost like he has pulled apart Wagner's vision, analysed then purified it. He has given away Wagner's End Game. Over the past decade or so, we have seen Joe re-evaluate not just his own values, but how he relates to the world around him. He's been questioning a lot of things lately. Starting to doubt himself.
Pete Wells has shown me how it will all end.
Exactly King Pops - a sensible view in a sea of shithouses!
